Hi! I’m Madison, a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for animals in both shelter and home settings. I volunteered with Shelter from the Storm Animal Rescue as a behavioral assessor, where I was trained to observe animal behavior, body language, temperament, and individual needs. I also helped write biographies for adoptable animals, which gave me even more experience getting to know animals as individuals and understanding their personalities and needs. My family also fostered animals, so I’m very comfortable working with anxious, shy, or nervous pets. I understand that some animals need extra patience and time to feel comfortable with a new person. I’m very in tune with animal behavior and pay close attention to body language, comfort levels, routines, and changes in behavior so I can help your pet feel safe and relaxed. I work a hybrid-remote job and am only in the office one day a week, which gives me a lot of flexibility with pet care. For pets who need more attention, I can arrange my schedule to spend two half-days with them, leaving for about four hours at a time to go in office. This allows me to provide consistent care and attention throughout the day while still giving your pet plenty of company and supervision. I’m absolutely comfortable working with anxious, fearful, or timid animals and will give them the patience and space they need to feel comfortable. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, cared for, and in good hands while you’re away!
