Pet care fits naturally into my current routine and I maintain a flexible schedule throughout the week for drop-in visits and dog walks. I primarily offer daytime and evening availability and do my best to keep my calendar updated regularly. Because I serve rural areas and surrounding communities, visit timing may occasionally vary slightly depending on drive distance, road conditions, and existing bookings. I value clear communication and will always be transparent about availability, scheduling, and timing before confirming a booking. I currently offer: • Drop-in visits/check-ins • Dog walking • Care for cats, dogs, and some small livestock/farm animals depending on needs and location

Safety, trust & environment

I currently provide care in clients’ homes through drop-in visits and dog walks. I understand how important it is to have someone dependable, respectful, and attentive caring for your pets while you are away. During visits, I focus not only on feeding and routine care, but also on making sure pets feel acknowledged, comfortable, and emotionally cared for. Whether your pet is playful and social or more independent and reserved, I try to meet them where they are and create a calm, positive experience. I appreciate detailed written instructions regarding feeding routines, medications, behaviors, gates/fencing, household preferences, or anything else important to your pet’s care. Safety and communication are very important to me, especially in rural settings and multi-animal households.

Information Madison E. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know ahead of time if your pet has any special needs, medications, behavioral concerns, fears, reactivity, escape tendencies, mobility limitations, or specific routines that are important for me to know before booking. For rural properties, it is also helpful to know about gates, fencing, livestock routines, feeding instructions, and anything unique about the property or animal care setup. Clear communication helps me provide the safest and most comfortable experience possible for both you and your pets.

A typical day

Visits are tailored to your pet’s individual energy level, personality, and routine. For dogs, this may include walks around the neighborhood or property, outdoor play, fetch, tug, potty breaks, feeding, fresh water, and companionship during the visit. For cats, I enjoy spending quiet time with them when they are receptive to attention, including play with toys, enrichment, feeding, litter maintenance, and companionship. For rural properties or homes with multiple animals, visits may also include basic livestock feeding/checks, refilling water, and ensuring animals appear safe and comfortable while you are away. My goal is to provide reliable care while helping pets feel relaxed, cared for, and comfortable in their familiar environment.

Reliable Rural Pet Care & Check-Ins

Pet care experience

I’ve been around animals for most of my life and grew up with both dogs and cats in the home. Over the years, my family has cared for multiple cats, dogs, and litters of kittens, and I currently have two cats of my own, Mew and Mochi. Growing up, I also cared for smaller pets including hamsters, a rabbit, and a pet rat, which helped me become comfortable with different animal personalities and care routines. I also previously lived on a small rural micro farm where we cared for animals including cows, pigs, and chickens. In addition, my family has had exotic birds including a cockatiel, parrotlet, and sun conure. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have helped family and friends with pet sitting, daily check-ins, feeding routines, litter maintenance, walks, companionship, and general care while they are traveling. I also volunteered regularly in the past with dogs through animal shelter environments, including dog walking multiple times per week, which helped me gain experience with different personalities, temperaments, and energy levels. I understand how important it is to have someone dependable checking in on your pets while you are away, especially in smaller rural communities where options can be limited. My goal is to provide calm, reliable, and attentive care while helping pets feel safe and comfortable in their familiar environment.

Madison took great care of our senior cat, Fassy, during a four-day trip away. She was reliable, responsive, engaged, and very capable; in the area of pet care and with miscellaneous household details such as package deliveries. She clearly loves furry friends, and we could tell from the pictures and his responses to her that our big guy loved her back! We highly recommend Madison and wouldn’t hesitate to have her come again!

I've known Madison for well over 20 years now and have been able to she her grow up with all kinds of animals that her family has owned. I cannot say enough her love for living beings, especially the furry kinds, and her favorites dogs, cats. The love she has extended to my own furbabies has been so appreciated and I can rest assure that they are in responsible hands when I am not able to be with my German Shepherd and Yorkie.

Madison loves animals and uses her intuition to help her identify what your special companion needs and wants. Animals are drawn to her. (P.S. I remember when her pet guinea pig used to sleep with her. :))
