Availability
I am a full time veterinary assistant with an allotted hour for lunch. This hour varies based on my schedule. If your pets are out of range for me to travel during my lunch, a second check in can be arranged later in the evening. My hours range from 7a-6p during the weekdays. I have Thursdays and have Sundays off.

I enjoy puzzles for pets, whether they’re engineered or store bought! Both physical and mental stimulation is important. Extensive training and play! Outdoor adventures like hikes and water activities are always fun! For my kitty friends, indoor play and hunting stimulation!

Pet care experience
I was raised in an animal shelter, one that my father was the director of for more than a decade. As I grew into my teenage years, I began pet sitting for family friends. As I grew into a young adult, I continued sitting and working as a veterinary assistant. I’ve been a full time veterinary assistant at one of Rome’s top veterinary clinics for almost 5 years now. I am constantly training, handling, and observing pets. My top interests are behavior and training. I’ve taken care of the small animals including dogs and cats, but also farm animals. I believe that providing stimulation and enrichment is a powerful tool for high drive breeds. I am very well educated on breed specific needs. I also have some experience with farm animals (chickens, goats, etc). My services include: training, midday walks, daily check ins, and overnight stays. I’ve been expanding my clientele, and would love for your fur family to join my pack!

Madison’s experience at the vet gives our family such confidence that we can leave our dog in the best of hands. Her knowledge on how to handle “skiddish” dogs was perfect for our animal. I first met Madi at our vet's office where she works. We have a pretty ornery cat and the vet asked her to help with him because she knew she would be able to handle him. Not only is she knowledgeable about pets, but she has a warm and kind personality which makes her easy to relate to. When I found out she did pet care in homes, we hired her to take care of our cat by coming by twice a day to feed him his meds, scoop his litter, etc. and she did a great job. She showed up every day in a timely manner, did what we asked her to do, and kept in good communication with us as needed. I even got a couple of pictures! I would highly recommend Madi to anyone that has pet care needs in their home.
Madison is a great choice for your pet care needs. Her experience from working at a local veterinarian office makes her a great candidate to care for your fur babies. We have used Madison on multiple occasions to care for our dogs. She is dependable and makes certain the needs of our dogs are met. I highly recommend!
