I grew up on a small island in Washington, surrounded by nature, animals, and dogs who were truly part of the family, and that upbringing shaped my lifelong love for dogs and animals of all kinds. From an early age, caring for pets was simply a part of daily life, and that bond only grew stronger as I got older. In high school and throughout college, I regularly pet sat for friends, neighbors, and families in my community, gaining hands on experience with dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. Whether it was long walks, playtime, feeding routines, or just offering comfort and companionship, I learned how important trust and consistency are when caring for someone else’s pet.
