Important things I would like to know ahead of time are your pet’s personality, energy level, favorite activities, routines, and anything that helps them feel comfortable. I would also like to know if your dog enjoys long walks, playing fetch, belly rubs, or certain toys, and if your cat likes cuddles, interactive play, or prefers more space. Knowing any fears, triggers, or behaviors ahead of time helps me make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and comfortable while having fun and staying active.
A typical day
A typical day pet sitting would start with letting the pet get comfortable with me and making sure they feel safe and relaxed in their environment. With dogs, I would take them on walks, keep them on their normal feeding schedule, and spend time playing fetch, tug-of-war, running around outside, teaching simple tricks, giving belly rubs, and keeping them entertained with their favorite toys and lots of attention. With cats, I would keep them on schedule as well and spend time playing with feather toys and laser pointers, and if they enjoy cuddles, I would give them pets and attention while making sure they feel comfortable, happy, and engaged throughout the day!

Pet care experience
I’ve been surrounded by many different animal’s my entire life. My love for animals pushed me to care and love for animals now! I got a 12-week-old puppy for free from people giving him away on the side of the road, and I fostered him until I found his forever home. I also fostered a 6-month-old puppy for two nights, giving him a break from the shelter. I grew up with a family dog for as long as I can remember, and that love for animals has stayed with me ever since. My love for animals is what got me into the job I have working at Pet paradise! I’ve also pet sat for many friends and family—always for free—just for the joy of the company.
