Services
Madie can care for
Availability
I work a full time receptionist job Monday - Thursday. My work days have long hours, and I'm not comfortable taking care of animals during the week unless they can be left alone for 10+ hours a day. This is why my availability is restricted to Friday to Sunday. I am available on Fridays and weekends for all services. Holiday availability varies. Your pet(s) will be my top priority while they are in my care. I'm very thorough when discussing your pet's needs and will contact you the moment i have any questions. I'd rather ask and confirm details with you than assume.

Safety, trust & environment
There are many safety measures I take when caring for animals. In my opinion, you can never be too careful. Here's an incomplete list of my some of the measures I take: Triple checking locks, making sure the door is clear before entering/exiting the home, animal-awareness in the kitchen area to prevent food from getting snatched up, comfortable setting house alarms (but won't if you don't want me to), monitoring outside time, cleaning up toys to prevent eating unsafe bits, feeding or medicating animals separately, maintaining a clean environment, and more. I emphasize communication by sending regular, daily updates. Pet sitting updates come in the afternoon with pictures and a daily summary of how your pet behaved (as well as if they are eating their food, going potty, and so on) so that I can provide peace of mind to you and reassurance that your pet is doing well. I want you to know that I am putting in 110% effort in taking care of your fur baby! At the end of every drop-in and walk I am required to send updates with pictures on how your animals is doing- their activities, if they ate or drank, and went potty.
Information Madie F. would like to know about your pet
I do not have any breed or size preferences, but it is necessary for me to know if your pet is aggressive towards people, dogs, or other pets so I can plan activities to suit their comfort zone. Does your dog or cat have a favorite snack, a preferred walking space or potty time? Does your pet have a favorite game or intellectually stimulating activity? When does your dog bark? Any medications, eye/ear drops that need to be administered at specific times? It's never a bad idea for an owner to create a "To Do" list for me to complete while working with a pet.
A typical day
Pet sitting: I will play with your pet as much as they want to play! Exercise and mental stimulation are key to a healthy pet. I'm always open to cuddle but will leave them alone if they want space. Walks: I can walk your dog around neighborhoods or in parks if weather allows. Play time is a necessary fun way to manage energy levels and encourage good sleep. Any activities outside that are not in a fenced-in area will be activities done on leash. I am not comfortable with letting animals off leash. Drop-Ins: All of the above!

Love, care, and exercise is key!
Pet care experience
I work as a full-time receptionist Monday thriough Thursday. I currently offer Dog Walking, Pet Sitting, and Drop-Ins on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Feel free to message me to ask questions or set up a Meet & Greet! I have been pet sitting through Rover for over 7 years with an additional 2 years experience as a Boarding and Animal Care Technician at an animal hospital and a year's experience at a doggy daycare. At the animal hospital my duties were to feed and exercise dogs and cats, administer medications, clean kennels, and do laundry. I have years of volunteering experience working with horses and other small pets. Cleaning up messes is no big deal, I've seen them all! I have a strong work ethic and work well under time constraints. I love every pet as if they are my own and believe all pets deserve the best care! Priority number one is the health and safety of your pet. Please tell me if they have any allergies, medications, or quirks that I should know about. ***Please note that I will not accept any (new client) requests with less than two weeks notice. This is is for scheduling purposes so that I can have to proper time to get to know you and your pet!***
