Your pet's comfort and routine are my top priorities! For house-sitting during the week, I am away from your home for about 4 hours in the morning. I'll return during my lunch break to spend 30-45 minutes with your pet for a potty break, playtime, or just some company and cuddles. Then I'll be away again for about 4 hours in the afternoon. After work, I come back to your home to stay with your pet(s) for the evening and overnight to provide care, companionship, and lots of love. While I aim to be punctual, pet care is unpredictable and I may not be able to start at the designated time. Please allow a flexible one hour window for the start time of your booked service.

Safety, trust & environment

I treat both your pets and your space with the same care and respect I would my own. I follow your pet's usual routines to help them feel safe and comfortable, keeping their feeding, medicine, and play schedules consistent. I make sure all doors and gates are securely closed, keep an eye on anything they shouldn't get into, and monitor their behavior for any signs of stress or discomfort. I understand the trust it takes to invite someone into your home. I'm tidy, mindful, and discreet. I'll leave your space just as I found it (or even a bit neater!). Communication is key, so I provide updates and photos regularly so you can relax knowing your pets and home are in good hands.

Information Madi D. would like to know about your pet

I appreciate when clients leave a detailed note containing their pets daily routine, behaviors, medications, and current health conditions. I also require the pets vet and emergency contact information on their Rover Profile, or provided on the detailed note. This note, along with our conversation during the meet and greet will ensure that I am fully prepared to safely watch your best friend.

A typical day

During walks, you can expect us to walk for the entire time that is scheduled. I often walk in parks, and on the greenbelt, and try to take a new route each time! If temperatures are too dangerous, we will spend the time playing indoors, or in the yard depending on weather. Drop-in visits can include walks, play time, feeding, cuddles, and administering medication. Housesitting bookings include all of the above! If any of your pets are in training, please let me know! I'd love to help work with them and keep the training going while you're away. With more time, comes more fun!

Pet care experience

Animals have always been a part of my life, and I couldn't imagine a world without them! I recently moved to the Inverness area from Idaho. I've worked with many animals throughout the years, including dogs, cats, fish, exotics, and farm animals. I've received crucial animal behavior and care training while I worked as a tech and grooming apprentice at doggy day cares, grooming facilities, and animal shelters. My business has grown over the past several years, and I'm happy to say that I have provided services to over 50 families, almost all of which are now repeat clients! As Anatole France once said, "Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." Please note, booking through Rover authorizes the caretaker to take and use photos from bookings to promote Rover, education, and additional services. Names, locations, and any identifiable information will not be in these photos or posts.

It just so happens that I'm bi-lingual speaking fluent in both English and Sheltie. We all shared sloppy kisses and hugs when we got back yesterday, and Bunny, Layla, Mr. Wiggles, Crissy and Kenzie told me all about their playdates with Maddie. Overall consensus was "Mommy, don't you have someplace far away to go so Maddie can come back?". They loved Maddie and were rather disappointed when the door opened for the third time that it was 'me' and not Maddie again. My opinion - Maddie is very vibrant and LOVES dogs. She is a perfect au pair/nanny for my little munchkins and I would absolutely request her for any future puppy-sitting needs that arise. Jean and John Turner

Madi did house sitting over the Thanksgiving holiday for me! She sent me pictures and texted with me everyday while I was gone to update me! She took great care of my 3 labradors! Thanks Madi! Will definitely book again!

Madi was awesome with our girls. She was available on short notice which we truly appreciate and realize it’s not always available. The girls loved her and we will be using her again.
