I’ve got no problem playing with your pets as much or as little as they’d like; I understand the importance of play and human interaction and that is a service I’ll gladly provide. Snuggles too, for those pets who are more relaxed :) I have plenty of experience walking dogs that both are and are not “leash trained” from fostering dogs, and I am also a very active person so if your dog likes to walk that’s great because so do I! :)

Please let me know in advance your pets favorite places to be scratched, preferred toys, and walk preferences. I am skilled at reading doggy body language, but any tips in advance help a lot :)
A typical day
Just because dogs are easy going that doesn’t mean minimal effort! I love to spend 1:1 quality time together whether that means snuggling up on the couch while we watch animal planet or a vigorous tug-o-war session. I also recognize how important it is for dogs to check their “pee-Mail” ;) around the neighborhood, walking your dog through a pet-safe area is important to me so your dog can sniff away without a worry.

**I love and am comfortable with animals of all types; dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, horses, lizards, amphibians, snakes, spiders etc!** My heart dog, a yellow lab named Cookie, came into my life when I was 7 and I’ve been an animal enthusiast ever since! All throughout my high school career, my parents fostered dogs through a rescue program. I also volunteered for this organization (Safe Hands), helping the rescue clean up and feed dogs aged anywhere from 10 days to full adult. Because of this background, I have special training in understanding how to care for and reassure dogs with rough pasts who require an extra loving touch. I have also lived in a home with up to 6 dogs before, so I am not intimidated by multi-pet families that have dogs with different needs. I am also a cat whisperer, people are always surprised at how friendly their typically aloof kitties are to me! I have a way with animals and know the purrrrfect spots to pet 💕

Great caretaker and wonderful communicator
Madelyn took such amazing care of our little dog Derby! Lots of walks, playtime and snuggles! We received great daily updates and pics! Would definitely recommend Madelyn!
Madelyn was wonderful! She took excellent care of our pups while we were on a week-long family vacation. She was communicative and very responsive, and she sent daily updates and sent photos, which we really appreciated. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our fur babies were in such good hands while we were away.
Madelyn did a great job watching our dog while we were gone for the evening! She sent updates and a pic. Our dog warmed up to her quickly.
