I've been around dogs since I was six years old, and caring for animals has always been one of my greatest joys. My first pup was a cocker spaniel mix who was part of our family for 13 wonderful years. We also adopted a blind and deaf Shih Tzu at age 10 and gave him a cozy, loving home for his final two years.
