Availability
I currently am working Rover full time, while staying with family. I don’t currently have any pets of my own. I do have regular appointments, 1-2 per week in the Minneapolis/Richfield/Bloomington area. On average I would be away from your home for 5-8 hours per day but if need be I can break up the time so I’m only away for 4 hours at a time. If you need me to stay with your pet for more time, I’m happy to discuss this with the possibility of additional compensation depending on the circumstances.

When pet sitting in someone’s home, I try to keep your pets routine as normal as possible to mitigate any possible anxiety about your absence to a minimum. Just think of me as your pets emotional support human while you’re gone! E-documents are wonderful or a printed copy of their care instructions, emergency contact, vet and emergency vet information. We do usually go over care instructions in the meet and greet but the multiple input cements it in my mind. If sending e-documents, I will give you my cell phone number and or email address since if you send it through the app I won’t get a hyperlink. As far as your home goes, your privacy and boundaries are next on my priority list after your pets care. I am a tidy person, so I do light cleaning before I leave (vacuuming, dishes, wiping counters and tables, etc.) I usually try to at least start my bed linens in the wash before I leave if not switched to the dryer. I’m happy to collect mail and packages. I have basic plant care knowledge so I enjoy watering plants on their schedule as well. If it’s winter and there’s snow, I don’t mind shoveling or snow blowing for additional compensation.
Information Madeline P. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog/cat has any special needs or behaviors i can account for. Such as, sociability, treat preferences, and which toys are their favorite. Also, I prefer being aware of your regular and emergency veterinarian information at the time of the sitting. You never want any worst case scenario situations to happen yet it’s much better to be prepared for them then to get taken by surprise and not have medical support.
A typical day
I love to stimulate your dogs physically and mentally. We'll play a bunch of games, check out all the new smells in the neighborhood, and explore all the parks near your house! I know cats can be a little more aloof so I rely on their parents to let me know what tips and tricks might help me gain their trust and then we’ll do their favorite activities; chasing a jiggly ball across the floor, stalking a string that slithers over the couch or napping during those chill moments.

Expert, Loving & Reliable Caregiver
Pet care experience
I have had pets to care for over 20 years , ranging from dogs and cats to reptiles and fish. I have owned many different breeds of dogs ranging from large to small and mainly domestic shorthair cats. I cared for my soulmate dog, a Frenchie, from the time he was a puppy up until he was an old man and it was his time to cross the rainbow bridge. I also have experience in medicating dogs and cats. Apart from caring for my own pets, I worked the front desk at a veterinary clinic and pet wellness being a special interest of mine so I have more than common knowledge of pet care. My abilities are to feed, bathe, play and walk your pet. I am willing to spend as much time as my schedule allows (overnights and 8-10+ hours during the day) with your pet(s); to give your pets the opportunity to expel energy or to comfort them when they miss you while you're away from home.

Reviews

Madeline was easy to book and communicate with. She sent updates and pictures without asking and I would 100% rebooked with her to stay with our pups!

This was our first time leaving Tilly home on a short weekend trip and Madd made everything so easy for us and did a wonderful job caring for her and our house while we were away. We got thoughtful updates and photos and a homemade snuffle ball (!!!) for our puzzle-loving dog. We really appreciated being able to meet-up prior to the stay, and it was a gift to be able to have an amazing dog whisperer take care of Tilly!

We've used Mad for several drop-by visits and always been highly impressed by Mad's communication and service. This was our first time having Mad stay overnight with our dogs and Mad did an incredible job. Highly communicative and responsive, asked great questions and sent regular photos/updates. We always felt confident in the care our animals were receiving. We came home to a clean house (sheets were even put in the wash!) and happy, relaxed animals. Our dogs aren't exactly "low maintenance" (one has medical needs, one is scared of her own shadow and distrustful of new people) and Mad did beautifully with them. We'll absolutely be using Mad again and feel so lucky our paths have crossed!

Madd was amazing with my two energetic dogs, very respectful, and excellent at communicating throughout our time away. Thank you!!
