Safety, trust & environment

Environment: I love all dogs & cats! All breeds are welcome! Every pet is different, so understanding and adapting to your pet's specific needs is essential. I require a Meet & Greet for every booking. I do not accept bookings with less than 36 hours' notice. This is for your pet's comfort, your peace of mind, & my safety. I also may ask to see vax records, especially if the animal is under 6 months old. When it comes to animal care, your pet's safety means everything. I am very secure in my belief that your pet will be safe & happy in my care.

Information Madeline H. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pet has health or behavioral concerns so I can accommodate you and your pet as best as possible. This includes any bite history or reactivity-related issues. You know your pet best, so please tell me everything. I require all dogs in my care to be vaccinated for the following: RABIES, DISTEMPER, AND PARVOVIRUS. (DHPP, DHHP, DA2PP, DHLPP include Distemper and Parvovirus vaccinations) No vaccines = No service. Puppies & Kitties: All animals in my care MUST be vaccinated for Rabies. If your animal is too young to be vaccinated, (puppies typically get a Rabies shot at 3 mo. or 16 weeks) I require your puppy to be up to date on their puppy shots (DHPP/Bordetella). I can care for them safely- until the next round of shots come. Please keep me updated on vet appointments & vax dates so there is no gap in your pup’s care. This goes for kittens as well. I may ask for vax records. I am not able to administer medications via injection. I do not accept any dog with aggression concerns before having 1-2 meet & greets at a neutral location with you present. I do this for the comfort of your dog and my safety.

A typical day

I love to walk and hike. I will provide your pup plenty of physical and mental stimulation with walks, bubbles, treat puzzles, runs, throwing a ball, or just watching some birds. If you're interested, we could also try to practice some fun tricks! I can also run with high-energy pups; ask!* *Last summer I sustained an injury which has hindered my ability to provide services for larger dogs. Please ask, depending on the situation I may still be able to help.

Pet care experience

**I have recently transitioned to a full time job. I unfortunately will no longer be providing regular services via Rover. If you have a need for care and are an established client, please contact me directly. Thank you. I have worked professionally with dogs for nearly 3 years now. I’ve spent most of my time working with pups at a Dog Daycare Center and a Boarding/Training Facility. I fed dogs, portioned their medication, and helped handle/manage their exercise and behavior. I have worked with dogs of all ages, breeds, & sizes. I have experience handling around 40+ dogs in a playroom setting and I am trained in canine CPR. I currently have a dog and a senior cat. I also have experience handling large reactive dogs. I have spent time with professional trainers and picked up a thing or two. I would love to aid in any training you have implemented, but I am not an official trainer. While I can help dogs learn general manners and small tricks, I cannot develop training plans. Please read my entire profile. I take animal care very seriously. I have certain requirements and regulations to keep all animals in my care happy and healthy. Please see below to make sure we are on the same page.

Madeline is a wonderful sitter and we're so happy to have found her for our cat Phoebe! She is kind, patient, communicative, and reliable. Phoebe warmed up to her immediately and it was so nice knowing that she was in good hands with good company while were were away! Madeline goes out of her way to make our sitting experience convenient and she always arrives on time. She also has great instincts, keeping an eye on Phoebe's food intake and taking smart steps to encourage her appetite without being asked. We love having Madeline as our sitter and will book her again and again!
