Commitment to Quality Care in Your Home When caring for your pet in your home, I strive to go above and beyond to ensure both your pet's well-being and your peace of mind. If I notice anything out of place or in need of tidying, I’m happy to help—but always with your prior approval. I understand that personal preferences vary; some clients prefer to handle certain tasks themselves, while others appreciate the extra assistance. My goal is to respect your space and treat your home with the same level of care I would my own. Having spent the last two years renovating my own home, I deeply understand the importance of maintaining a clean and organized environment. Safety and Pet Care Best Practices Your pet’s safety is my top priority, and I take every precaution to ensure their well-being: Secure Transportation: If I transport your pet, they will always be properly restrained with a seatbelt or pet travel carrier for safety. Leash & Walk Safety: On walks, I ensure pets do not pick up items from the ground. I also clean their paws after every outing, just as I do with my own pets. Hygiene & Health: If your pet gets dirty, I will provide a bath with your permission. Any medical concerns will be addressed immediately, and I am trained in emergency pet first aid, excluding surgical procedures. Home Security: I will ensure all doors and windows are securely locked when leaving your home. Privacy & Updates: I will only take photos of your pet for your updates and will never photograph your home without permission. Supervision & Outdoor Time: Pets in my care will never be left alone in a vehicle or outside unattended, even in my fenced yard. Cats will remain indoors unless they are harness-trained and you request outdoor time. Stranger Interaction: While on walks, your pet will not interact with strangers or other animals unless pre-approved for socialization. Pet Care in My Home Pets in my home receive dedicated supervision unless prior arrangements are made: Dogs: If a dog is staying with me and needs to be left alone for an extended period, I require a crate for their safety and comfort. However, my schedule is highly flexible, minimizing the time they are left alone. Cats: Cats may be left unsupervised in a designated, pet-safe room with regular check-ins. Handling Aggressive or Special Needs Pets I have extensive experience with fearful, reactive, and aggressive pets, but clear and honest communication is essential: Cats: I am comfortable handling feral or aggressive cats and will take the necessary time to build trust. I can administer medication as needed, but I require full transparency about their behavior to ensure safety for all. Dogs: I can accommodate dogs with minor behavioral challenges, such as leash reactivity or mild anxiety. However, for safety reasons, I cannot accept: Dogs over 50 lbs who are not at least moderately leash-trained. Dogs requiring a muzzle or choke collar in public settings. Dogs with severe aggression or unpredictable behavior. Double-Booking Policy For the safety and well-being of all pets, I do not double-book boarding, daycare, or walks unless all parties have given consent and a meet-and-greet has taken place. If multiple dogs are staying in my home at the same time, a meet-and-greet is required. Even if the dogs get along, they will not be left alone together unless securely crated. Cats and dogs boarding in my home simultaneously will be kept in separate areas with no contact.

Swimming (Weather Permitting) – Supervised water play for dogs who enjoy swimming. Treadmill Training – Safe indoor exercise option for high-energy dogs. Mental Stimulation & Problem-Solving Scent Work & Nose Games – Encouraging natural foraging instincts by hiding treats for your dog to find. Puzzle Feeders & Snuffle Mats – Slowing down mealtime while keeping their brain engaged. Basic Obedience & Trick Training – Reinforcing commands or teaching fun new tricks. Interactive Toys & Treat Dispensing Games – Providing engaging solo playtime activities. Impulse Control & Focus Exercises – Practicing "stay," "wait," and "leave it" to improve self-discipline. Sensory & Social Enrichment Doggy Playdates (If Compatible) – Supervised social interactions with approved dogs. Exposure to Different Surfaces & Environments – Helping build confidence through new experiences. Sound & Music Therapy – Playing calming music or desensitization sounds for relaxation. Massage & Tactile Stimulation – Gentle touch to promote relaxation and bonding. Car Rides & Field Trips – Safe outings to pet-friendly stores, trails, or parks. Relaxation & Comfort-Based Enrichment Cuddle & Bonding Time – Offering comfort and companionship for dogs who enjoy affection. Canine Massage & Calming Touch – Helping to relieve tension and stress. Aromatherapy & Soothing Scents – Using pet-safe scents like lavender for relaxation. Soft Lighting & Cozy Spaces – Creating a stress-free resting area. Each dog has unique preferences and energy levels, so I customize enrichment activities to ensure they receive the best care suited to their personality.
