I have grown up around animals and have always adored how wonderful companions they are. I grew up taking care of family members dogs when they went on vacations, which gave me early experience with feeding, walking, and general care. I also have some experience with cats from having one when I was younger and helping care for a few friends and family members cats over the years. I am comfortable helping with basic cat care such as feeding, litter box cleaning, and spending time with them. I have my own dog, Hadley, an 8 year old golden retriever. She is very spunky, sometimes a troublemaker, but very sweet. She loves walks and I have walked her for years and really enjoy doing so. Caring for her has helped me build strong experience with daily routines and understanding a dog’s needs. Within the past year, I started working at a shelter where I take care of dogs, including some with aggression and fear issues due to neglect and other reasons. I feed them, walk them, clean up after them, play with them, and give them love and attention while they wait to be adopted. That experience has taught me how to be around different types of dogs, adapt to their needs, and make sure our furry friends are always loved and cared for. I take pride in being reliable, attentive, and patient when caring for animals. I always treat pets as if they were my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I look forward to the opportunity to help take care of your pets and give them the attention and care they deserve.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize their safety, comfort, and normal routine. I make sure to follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk times, playtime, and any specific care needs for each pet. For home sitting, I focus on keeping pets calm and comfortable in their own environment, making sure they get consistent attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. For drop-in visits, I make sure all essential needs are met, including feeding, bathroom breaks, cleaning up if needed, and spending time with the pet so they feel cared for and not alone. For dog walking, I make sure walks are safe, controlled, and appropriate for each dog’s energy level and behavior. I also pay close attention to each pet’s personality and comfort level, especially with animals that may be shy, anxious, or require extra patience. I have experience working with different types of dogs from my time at a shelter, which has helped me stay calm, observant, and adaptable. In addition, I respect the client’s home by keeping everything clean, secure, and exactly as I found it. My goal is always to provide reliable care so pets feel safe and owners feel confident and at ease.

Maddie was amazing with our pets! We had never had a house sitter before and had never left our 2 dogs and 2 cats for more than a few days before. Maddie helped put us at ease before we left. She had great communication, asked questions, assured us she would treat the pets as if they were her own. Throughout the trip, we received daily updates and pictures. Even though we were on vacation, the pictures and updates became a daily highlight for us. It was very clear Maddie was taking great care of all four of our pets as well as the house and our plants. We also knew she was taking good care of our pets since you could tell our pets were showing her their individual personalities through her updates. When we returned home, the house was clean, pets were well-cared for, and she left us a summary note to review with final updates and information on where she had been putting the garden produce she picked while we were gone. We couldn't have been happier with how Maddie watched over our house and pets. We would absolutely have Maddie back without a second thought whenever we decide to take our next trip in the future!

I highly recommend Madi as a pet sitter and caregiver. She has a love for animals, especially dog, and is naturally patient, caring, and attentive with animals. Since 2018, she has helped care for a family dog daily, including walks, feeding, playtime, and giving plenty of affection and attention. She has helped care for her grandmother’s dog over the years and is dependable and trustworthy. Animals seem to feel comfortable around her very quickly, and she genuinely enjoys spending time with them. She is responsible, kind, communicative, and will treat any pet as if it were her own. I would feel completely comfortable leaving a pet in her care.

Schedule
As a college student, I have a flexible schedule that allows pet care to fit easily into my daily and weekly routine. I am available most weekdays, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, depending on my class schedule. I am also available on weekends and am happy to take on weekend bookings with advance notice. I am reliable with time management and make sure to plan ahead around my classes and other commitments so I can consistently show up on time and give each pet the attention and care they need. Overall, my flexible college schedule allows me to be dependable and available for pet care while still balancing my school and other responsibilities.

- It is helpful for me to know any important details about the pet ahead of time so I can provide the best care possible. This includes things like their daily routine, feeding schedule, walking preferences, energy level, and any specific behaviors or triggers they may have. I also like to know if the pet has any medical needs, allergies, or medications, as well as how they typically behave around new people, other animals, or during walks. For dogs, it is especially helpful to know how they react on leash, if they have any reactivity, and what helps them feel calm and comfortable. Any information about their favorite toys, treats, or comfort habits is also very useful so I can help them feel more at ease while their owner is away. My goal is always to keep their routine as consistent and stress free as possible so the more information provided the better!
