Pet care experience
Experienced, energetic pet lover!
My experience pet-sitting (before I joined Rover in 2019) began at age 14 and has consisted of taking care of neighbors and family friends' dogs, eventually getting gigs through personal referrals. Helping others look after their animals and taking care of them as my own while making a few extra dollars is the perfect gig for me! Dog-walking/sitting: I'm pretty active and love the outdoors, so I'm more than willing to take your fur baby on short or long excursions outside. Some of my favorite memories are taking my family's dogs on long walks and spending time with them at the lake. Cat-sitting: I love both cats AND dogs for very different reasons. Dogs are awesome because they're friendly, energetic, and man's best friend! Cats are so different in that they are sooo relaxing, hands-off compared to dogs, and relatively independent. Other animals: I have little experience in this arena but would love to take care of any other pets you may have! I'd love the opportunity to take care of your pets while you're away! :)
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I treat my clients’ pets as my own, so I do let them on the bed or couch to snuggle if that’s something you allow in your home. My personal motto is “leave no trace” typically used for the outdoors, but that is also the standard I abide by when staying in a client’s home.
Ratings and reviews
Madeleine was a fantastic sitter! She was on time, followed instructions, the schedule we asked her to and left the house nice and clean. One of our dogs is professionally trained and Madeleine took the time to learn her commands and her personality. She was great with both dogs. We would love to have her back again!

Madeleine was great! She took care of our 2 dogs for 4 days and nights while we were at Lake Burton for a fishing tournament. She did an awesome job, and sent lots of pictures. I would highly recommend Madeleine and I hope to hire her again in the future.

Madeleine did great with our dog and house! She took him on several walks and we could tell when we got home he was well loved while we were away!

I’m so glad I found Madeleine! I had to leave town for work for two weeks and I was very nervous about leaving my dog, Maddie, with someone because she was recovering from a stroke. And she’s not an easy dog to care for anyway - she takes lots of meds throughout the day and has stubborn streaks. Madeleine did an amazing job with her and kept me updated with pics daily. She not only got Maddie to take all of her meds, but also got some fun time in, playing with toys and going to the park, and also some snuggling when Maddie was anxious the first few nights. Madeleine stayed at my apartment and when I got back, it was even cleaner than I left it. I would hire Madeleine again in a second! She was fantastic!

Madeleine was great! Sent me several photos and gave me updates while I was away from my pup. I felt like he was in good hands, would definitely book again. Highly recommend!

I work full-time from home when not traveling for my job. Because I love animals and travel too much to have some of my own, pet sitting is the perfect, flexible gig for me!

- Are there any behaviors I should exhibit to make your dog feel safer being with me? Are they aggressive? If so, when? (I do not have any breed preferences.)
