Animals have been a central part of my household since I was five years old. Since moving to New York, I have volunteered at Animal Haven and became a cat foster with Best Friends Animal Society, to provide pets with the extra support and love they need. I have since adopted my own cat, Ravioli, but am still looking to contribute where I can by helping others with their pet sitting needs. As a work-from-home journalist and creative, I have an entirely flexible schedule that allows me to prioritise your animal’s care. I live near dog parks, general parks and waterfront trails that ensure they will never be bored! But I’m also down to cuddle and chill with your pet if that’s more their speed. I’m just looking to help you find the right temporary spot for your special guy/gal/pup.

Our home has been proofed for foster cats and we have a pet friendly building. We have a dedicated third space for anxious or new pets that need their own place but I’m also not precious about any of our furniture - this is a relaxed home!

Madeleine took such wonderful care of our cat while we were out of town! She was responsive and very understanding of all of his needs! With an older cat, it gives us a lot of comfort knowing that Madeleine is there to make sure he is ok when we aren't around. She sent us daily updates and pictures to keep us aware of how he was doing! We'll definitely be booking her in the future!
Madeleine was great to work with from start to finish. She made time to meet up with me before my trip and talk through any details. She is very knowledgeable about cats and fosters regularly so I knew my kitten was in good hands. Highly recommend!
Madeleine took great care of our cat during Labor Day weekend. The pictures were much appreciated and our cat looked very happy and healthy. She followed up with instructions and left our home spotless. Would definitely recommend her to others!
Madeleine took excellent care of my cat when he boarded with her. The pictures she shared showed he was very happy and relaxed. In addition all the logistics went very smoothly, and it was a pleasure to work with her through the process. I highly recommend her.

Madeleine really helped me out in a pinch when I was sick and couldn't walk my dog. She was so kind and good with my puppy and I would love to hire her again

Schedule
I’m permanently working remotely which means I’m fully available and flexible for your pet’s individual schedule. I’m an experienced pet foster so I’m used to adapting to new routines and accommodating particular needs.

- I love all breeds, but do request clear instructions on the feeding habits of your pet, as well as any behaviors that might be deemed uncommon. More than happy to work with these, I'd just like a heads up!
