Availability

——————————————- As a full-time professional pet carer, my day is spent with my furry clients - some drop ins have a set schedule (usually dogs), and some are more flexible (usually cats). . Walks and drop-ins are structured around this with morning and afternoon slots, and when you book with me we can discuss any timing requirements you need for your pet’s care. . Drop-ins for dogs can include a short toilet walk if you do not have a garden/direct outdoor access. .

Safety, trust & environment

——————————————- I offer care including replenishing food and water, administering oral or topical medication, cleaning of pet equipment for use (ie food/water bowls, litter trays) and of course play, cuddles - or a wide berth if your pet would prefer to watch me from afar! . Species-specific care is tailored for your pet and confirmed in writing with you before the booking commences. . During walks I carry water with me at all times, and for walks further afield, each dog or household of dogs is transported in a custom-built crate for safety, with clean bedding and water always available. . Long-lines are provided for dogs with poor recall to ensure they can still get the most out of their walks and explore safely!

Information Madeleine O. would like to know about your pet

Safety Info: ———————- All first walks will be undertaken first on-lead, using short and long-lines. . Off-lead status is only granted with the owner's permission, and after at least one primary long-line walk so I can gauge their interest in returning to me! More long-line walks may be necessary for me to build up a good recall trust with your dog. . Treat use on walks discussed with owners beforehand and tailored to your pup's dietary needs. . Water is always available in transportation and during walks. . Owner/household allergies to be confirmed beforehand to ensure no potential cross-contamination occurs.

A typical day

—————————————- I like to match the energy of the pet - whether that's cuddling on the sofa or lazing in the sun, playing games (sniff & search, fetch, toys), puzzle feeders, and making sure they are getting enough rest. . On my walks further afield, I will drive to a local park or open space (estates, woods, river walks depending on the dog and the weather!), lead-up from my crated van, and get out into nature. Plenty of sniffs, steering clear of the busier places as many dogs can find them overwhelming (... though some do seem to revel in the buzz and the odd dog-friendly coffee shop or garden centre trip brighten their day!). . Walk locations will be discussed in advance to make sure they suit your pup's needs.

Professional Pet Care

Pet care experience

I am a fully insured professional animal carer, offering dog walking, drop in and daily care services for your pets. I have my own high-energy dog, a lifetime of growing up with dogs, cats, and horses, and walking and care experience with various dogs from those who are reactive, frustrated, timid and excitable, to large and tiny alike. . I also have experience working with livestock and horses, and have a lifelong passion for all things animal and nature! . I currently have capacity for short-notice bookings, and have some space available for regular walks or drop-ins in the Beckenham, Bromley and wider area. . Walks Dog walks can either be from your home, or your dog can be driven in my crated, air conditioned and fully insured van to a large Green space or wood for longer walks. . Drop-ins Prior to the appointment we will discuss any species-specific care required and a brief write up of my behavioural research so that I can ensure the most appropriate, safe and caring support for your pet! . My insurance covers myself, your pets, your keys, members of the public, and transportation in my crated van for walks further afield. . Please drop me a message for any questions or bookings!

I can’t recommend Madeline highly enough. She walked and minded my senior dog Trixie many times. Maddie is very considerate of doggy needs and always ensured Trixie walked in a way that suited her mobility needs and regularly administered medicine. Maddie ensured pups with very different personalities and needs could comfortably share space together. Maddie looked after Trixie towards the end of her life when I had to deal with a family emergency. This included administering several daily medications and monitoring Trixie. This was done brilliantly. You will get regular photos of your pup and check-ins whenever needed. I absolutely trusted Maddie with my dog and the keys to my flat. Thanks Maddie for being there for Trixie and me through the worst times.
