Big dog lover | Happiest outside
I grew up as the neighborhood dog walker, and as soon as I graduated college I adopted my own dog and had her for ten amazing years (passed from cancer). I am a trained volunteer and have fostered for two local animal shelters. I hike every weekend and go on daily walks, so staying active with dogs fits naturally into my routine. My partner jokes that I need the daily walks more than the dogs do ;) I have no pets or children in the home, meaning your pets will be quite spoiled and get all the attention and cuddles! I’ve had many canine roommates, and have also lived with dogs who resource guard and are leash reactive, so I’m comfortable handling different personalities and needs. You know your dogs best, so whatever you request for their enjoyment and safety I will follow to the letter. I aim to treat every dog with the kindness and dignity they deserve!

Madeleine was a wonderful care giver for my high-energy German Shepherd. She took him on several walks every day as well provided numerous toys to keep his mind occupied. She provided photos and updates during the day. She also was very flexible with my hectic work schedule. She has such a sunny and upbeat disposition in regard to taking care of my boy as well as life in general. I highly recommend her.
Maddie is such a wonderful sitter and took great care of our Small Munsterlander while we were on a long vacation. The best part was that Maddie goes on regular hikes, so our pup got all the exercise she needs! They both had a great time together, and were so happy to have found someone who’s a perfect fit!
I have known Madeleine for over 10 years, and can attest to her great love and care for animals big and small. She is so well attuned to what a critter may need to feel safe, comfortable and loved and goes above and beyond to ensure their happiness. I have had the pleasure of raising my pup alongside her own, and the care she gives my dog is unmatched. She is also so kind and caring to both of my kitties. She loves learning about them, and always remembers their quirks even though we now live many states away. She is genuine, kind and overly caring for all animals she comes across.
Calendar and availability
Schedule
I work from the office Monday - Thursday, and work from home on Fridays! I take a morning walk and an hour walk after work or during lunch at a minimum. I hike on the weekends and would love to bring your dog with me!
Where your pet will stay
Safety, trust & environment
If you have a fenced in yard, I will stay outside with your dog so they are not left unattended plus multiple walks. If you don’t have a fenced in yard, I will take out on a leash for long walks and multiple potty breaks throughout the day.

A typical day
I love to walk where dogs can stop and sniff as much as they want! If your dog likes to run, let me know as I’m working on training for a half marathon. I LOVE hiking and with your permission would love to take them on a hike on the weekends!
