I have several years of experience pet sitting dogs and cats for family friends, neighbors, and coworkers, and I also spent over a year working as a veterinary assistant. I have worked hands-on with dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, temperaments, and energy levels. I'm comfortable caring for nervous or fearful pets, high-energy dogs, and animals that require extra patience or careful handling. I also have extensive experience administering medications and following detailed medical and care instructions. I now work as a wildlife researcher and have additional professional experience with animal handling, behavior, and husbandry across a wide variety of species. I'm comfortable reading behavior and adjusting my approach to the individual animal. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, anxious, senior, or just has a very particular routine, I'm happy to work with their needs and make sure they are comfortable and well cared for while you're away.

I provide care in your pet’s home, where they can remain comfortable with their normal environment and routine. I’m happy to provide multiple walks per day, plenty of playtime and attention, and meals, snacks, and medications according to their regular schedule. I will always follow care instructions closely and adjust my approach to your pet’s individual needs and personality.

With a background working as a tech in multiple veterinary clinics while in college, serving as a foster home to orphaned kittens until they were strong and old enough to be adopted out, and assisting in training a puppy who was becoming a service dog to a veteran she has a breadth of experience with all ages and types of animals. She has cared for our two dogs and is responsible, reliable, and extremely compassionate. She is truly an animal whisperer!

Schedule
I currently have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to spend plenty of time with the pet in my care! While I do have daily obligations that may take me away for parts of the day, I have plenty of availability for walks, playtime, meals, and lots of attention throughout the day.
