*Experienced w/ Reactive Dogs ! I grew up in California always having dogs, cats, and reptiles at home to love and take care of. Dog walking, cat play, reptile feeding, poop pick-up and litter box cleaning were part of my regular routine throughout my childhood. During these years I was hired various times to take care of dogs, cats, and chickens of friends and family members who went out of town. I always follow the animals' feeding schedule provided by their owner, provide any medications when needed, take long walks outside, and give lots of engaging playtime and cuddles! Since moving to Boston, I regularly walked and pet sit a medium sized people/dog reactive dog named Kiki. She was a dog who was completely comfortable inside, but became stressed on walks when passing by dogs and strangers. On our walks I would constantly analyze our surroundings to see if any potential stressors were coming our way and I would find a way to avoid them by crossing the street when possible, pulling to the side and having her calmly rest until the person/dog had passed, or walking an alternate route to avoid any potential stress. Through this experience I feel confident in my ability to stay calm and keep a reactive dog anxiety free.
