If I am sitting in the home of the client, I would like to know the boundries of the owners in regards to what areas I have access to, routine of the pet, and care of the home. When dedicating to sitting a pet, I treat them as the owner does and would want to. Pet safety and trust is the upmost priority when I am spending time with them.

A typical day
I love getting dogs outside for walks and to explore the area. If there is open space, a park, or a yard available, I love having them be able to run off leash and chase a tennis ball or burn through energy. I also can run with your dog on a leash if you are comfortable with that.

My name is Maddie, a long time/current dog owner and volunteer walker. I have walked shelter dogs at my hometown humane society and absolutely loved it. I loved giving them the opportunity to get outside and exercise. From that experience I have worked with many types of dogs, and learned the importance of adjusting to the dogs personality. I have grown up with dogs all my life, from medium to large sized dogs, bred to rescues. I am open to hearing any insights, advice, or concerns a dog owner may have about their dog. It is important for me to know that the owner knows their dog will be treated well and getting the care they need while they are with me. I have a flexible schedule and would love to meet your pup soon!

Maddie was an exceptional dog walker and pal for my doggie while I was out of town. My dog is tentative and home-bound and she did a wonderful job at getting her to go for a walk and not run home. Thank you, Maddie!

Maddie grew up with dogs, and to be honest spent most of her childhood pretending to be one (lol). Maddie loves animals, but she is in love with dogs. With our dogs she was attentive, consistent, and protective in their care. When Maddie went to college she sought out opportunities to volunteer at an animal shelter and provide walking services. She is my daughter, however putting that aside, I would trust her with any animal. One final note, Maddie has taken time to educate herself about the nuances of dog behavior, wanting to better understand them, and give them a caring experience.
