I recently stopped working full time as a horse guide, and usually work nights 3-4 days a week. So I love to be up all day tiring out your pups (or other animals) and taking them on adventures so they can sleep if i’m gone for (max 7 hours during night time). Then of course, hang with them the rest of the night after work :) I am very flexible still with my hours. I love to go hiking as well, and would love to bring your critters with to explore, or come to the horse barn and run their hearts out! My boyfriend will also be here as needed and has extended experience of working with animals to help keep an eye on them and be there to give the pups attention when I can’t be there 24/7. (If your dog is weird with men I’ll make sure he does not help me at all then with your dog)

I can stay over and help house sit while I watch your animals if that’s what you’re looking for. However, I prefer to have them at my place in case I can’t commute as much since I have my own dog and horse I need to tend too. Otherwise I am open to coming multiple times a day, or just bringing them along my own hiking and walking/ running adventures. I live in an RV, and a nice “garage” with a loft in there (we plan on building off of it eventually), and lots of land. I have fostered and dog sat many times here and it’s hard to explain how the set up is, but if you have questions feel free to ask!

Information Maddie K. would like to know about your pet
If the dog needs medication or what behaviors or conditions I should be concerned of. I’d also love to know how your dog behaves in situations, and how their patterns are. As well as if they are good with recall and being off leash.
A typical day
I’d love to get the dogs desensitized to whatever I can, and give them plenty of exposure to new things! This can include hiking, runs, and going into pet stores, as well as to my horse barn to see plenty of animals if you’re comfortable!

Pet care experience
I have raised my own ducks starting in second grade, and have been involved in 4H being around all types of animals ever since. I recently graduated with an animal sciences degree and have trained dogs and fostered tons of puppies to help train them to get adopted easier. I have trained horses as well and overall being around animals is my passion.

Maddie was great, and our dogs couldn't have had a better time. Maddie was quick in responding and both drop off and pick up went off without a hitch. Her dog Toast got along great with our dogs and all three of them had a lot of fun for the 2 days they were all together. We would definitely use Maddie again!

Maddie is amazing. She grew up in 4H and has great knowledge of for all types of animals. She is an Animal science major at University of Kentucky. She has a horse and a dog and has taken care of variety of animals from fish and lizards to large animals in my household and did amazing. She loves taking dogs for walks and runs. She is very responsible and loves animals. Your animals will be in good hands with Maddie!
