Pet care experience
Maddie Hassett
*Updated schedule at the bottom of bio!* Hi everyone! I’m Maddie. (: I moved to the Seattle area after graduating from Washington State University in May 2024. I spent my time at WSU studying Animal Sciences, and gained lots of hands on experience and knowledge during my time there. I currently work at a local veterinary clinic once a week and my full time job is at Seattle Humane! With previous experience running a dog walking and pet sitting business, I am eager to get back to working with your pets. I have experience with large dogs, small dogs, cats and kittens, and even exotics, including chinchillas and snakes. I have experience administering medication, giving subcutaneous fluids and injections, and caring for senior pets. I’m a pretty active person so I am also up for crazy pups that keep you on your toes! If you think I would be a good fit for you and your pets, please reach out to me anytime. SCHEDULE INFO: Sundays - open Mondays - before 7am and after 5:30pm Tuesdays - after 6pm Wednesdays - open Thursdays - after 6pm Friday - after 6pm Saturdays - after 6pm

Safety, trust & environment
While I don’t provide services in my home, I am always extremely safe and loving when working with clients. I want all of the pets I care for to feel comfortable with me, and I want you to know your pet is safe with me as well! I am an avid door-lock checker, and I always make sure everyone has the right harness or collars before leaving the house for walks.
Ratings and reviews
Maddie is second to none — I’ll never hire anyone else (unless I have to.) On short notice, Maddie once again looked after my two cats while I was away for a long holiday weekend. While I’m sure she had things she’d rather be doing on her own holiday weekend, you’d never know it from her prompt reply and upbeat attitude. It’s always evident from our interactions that Maddie truly loves cats, and I know my boys are in good hands when she watches over them. She’s an excellent communicator, she posts detailed updates (along with plenty of cute cat pictures!) with each visit, and she’s overall just a pleasure to work with. Thanks for everything, Maddie — you’re the best in the business!

This was my second time booking Maddie. She took great care of our two kitties while we were gone! She is a kind, attentive, and communicative sitter and I would definitely reach out to her again!

Maddie is a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and caring pet sitter! My cat has pica and was on his second blockage in 2 months and we were worried about him after taking him to the vet and I was starting a new job and my partner had to travel for work. We trusted her with her education and work experience to monitor our sweet boy - she was detail oriented, followed instructions, and watched for his pees and poops! She even noticed a bump/scab he had on his lip. We will most definitely be using her again in the future when we travel 🙌🏻

Maddie has been such a joy for my dog Breakfast. I highly reccomend. She communicates well, shes respectful, and takes great care of my pup. 💚🫶🏽

Maddie is incredible! I had to leave town on short notice and one of my boys was getting over a stomach bug, so he required medicine. Giving cats their meds is no easy feat, but my little guy’s shy with new people and really hates his medicine, so it’s always a struggle. Maddie was sensitive to this and being a professional, employed every tactic to get him his meds each day. There was one day she spent 30 minutes trying to lure him out of hiding and he wouldn’t budge, so she apprised me of the situation and offered to come back at another time to try again (I felt it unnecessary since he’d been stable for a few days by that point, but I was impressed with her commitment and care to my boys. She fed them, took inventory of their water fountain and kibble feeder, played a few rounds of fetch, and sent me a daily recap of the visit along with pictures of my boys so I could see how they were doing. I’ll never work with anyone else — Maddie rocks!

I don't want you to know how good of a sitter Maddie is. Haha! 😆😉

Schedule
I currently work a full-time schedule at Seattle Humane and I also work once a week at a local vet clinic. I will keep my calendar updated as I have free days, but I am looking forward to using my free time to walk and sit for pets.
- Cats0 to 15 lbs16 to 40 lbs41 to 100 lbsover 101 lbsMaddie can host up to 7 drop-ins per day
- Any health issues or concerns would be great to know! Additionally, if your pets prefer a slow approach from humans, or if maybe your dog would like to stay away from others on walks. Anything you think I should know to care for them better. I get along well with all animals, I just want to keep them happy and healthy.
