I’m open for Spring 2026! Feel free to reach out, and we can discuss how we can work around both of our schedules. PLEASE, read my disclaimer about HOLIDAY BOOKINGS above. I’m accommodating and flexible within reason. I would love to be a sitter that your pet gets to know and be comfortable with being in their home when you are away at work or out of town. Having a consistent sitter is less stressful on your pet and comforting while they are experiencing your absence even if they love most people they encounter.

Providing this information will help me to ensure that you pet is receiving the care they need safely and according to the reservation. Please let me know if your pet(s) has any specific behaviors or needs to account for prior to me working with them. Behavior Restriction(s): People and/or animal reactivity (no people/animal-aggressive dogs). Currently, I have NO BREED RESTRICTIONS for dog clients. As long as they are NON-REACTIVE and fit into my size requirements, I will service the pet client. A REACTIVE DOG is a dog that is aggressive to other people and/or animals. I DO NOT ACCEPT AGGRESSIVE/REACTIVE DOGS. I am not trained to physically handle an aggressive/reactive dog, so please be honest when booking with me as this is my health and safety at risk. If I show up to a booking and find your dog is reactive to people and/or other animals it may encounter, I will not complete the service and you will be charged the full amount of the service. Thank you so much for prioritizing my and your dog(s) safety.
A typical day
There are many safe neighborhoods in Redding that my pet clients and I can enjoy our walks on. I enjoy playing with pets, too, especially those who really love toys. If there are any specifics to where your dog prefers/is comfortable walking or specific ways they like to play, please be sure to let me know. When it comes to cats, I love to be able to play with them if they have toys they love. I also enjoy just sitting with them for company, petting them, and brushing them when I come to check their litter and food/bev. Every client I have serviced on Rover has requested additional drop-ins in the future aside from those who have relocated or happen to be a new client. If you’re looking for someone to be a constant in your pet’s life when it comes to sitting or dropping in, I prioritize consistency and availability; your pet will experience the luxury of having the same sitter that they’re comfortable and familiar with into the foreseeable future, which I know many people are looking for when searching for a sitter.

I have been taking care of animals my entire life, including the following: puppies, dogs, kittens, cats, guinea pigs, and fresh water fish. Animals tend to be immediately drawn to me and I to them, so I would love to extend my services and care to the pets of busy pet parents! To see some of my current pet clientele, feel free to flip through my photos. The orange cat I’m holding in a few of my photos are my own cat, Oliver (my pookie bear). When it comes to providing a service, I am prompt in communication, reliable, and a person of integrity. Handling and caring for animals requires a respect in their boundaries that I'm capable of listening to and upholding for the comfortability and safety of the pet. I do not have experience with dogs that are REACTIVE (whether it be to people and/or other animals), so I’m NOT currently ACCEPTING REACTIVE DOG CLIENTS for services. Please respect my safety and the safety of your dog by adhering to this requirement. Current Availability: I am a teacher who travels for work within a 60 mile radius (I do not have a classroom and work mostly from home). I am typically able to accommodate most booking requests into my schedule. HOLIDAY DISCLAIMER: Please schedule in advance for holidays as soon as possible, as my calendar fills up. Also, if you’re not set on your schedule for a holiday booking, please do not send a booking request until you are positive you will not be cancelling your service. I have to decline a clients after so many people have already booked during the holidays because I only have so many hours in a day, so please do not book me and cancel when others could have taken your pet(s)’ spot that are for sure going to need the booking. I want to make sure the pets that for sure need care receive it and that I don’t have bookings cancelled right before they need to be fulfilled when I have already made space and priority for them in my schedule. Madalyn was a great cat sitter. She did a good job engaging with Luna in the way that Luna preferred each day (sometimes playing, sometimes just getting attention). Madalyn communicated with me clearly and always left great daily summaries so I could stay aware of how everything was going.
Madalyn was flexible and very caring with our kitties. She sent us lots of pics and made sure to update us whenver something went awry. Genuinely appreciate her and would highly recommend her!
Maddie did a wonderful job taking care of my 2 kitties under a difficult situation. They are both feral kitties that are outside only. Feeding and any play time is all outside. I would highly recommend Maddie and will use her in the future.
