I’m Mădălina, a n academic researcher, sound artist, and devoted animal companion who believes that living with pets teaches us how to listen differently and live in a shared consideration of ontological difference. I grew up surrounded by animals in the countryside of Moldova - goats, sheep, chicken, independent kittens and dogs, ducks. Throughout my life, I have sought and cared for cats and dogs of my family and friends, unable to share my life full-time with one due to my academic and nomadic life. My work takes me between Moldova, Germany, and beyond, and housesitting allows me to root myself gently wherever I land, caring for homes and animals as living, breathing ecologies of care. I currently research animism through posthumanist lens, and my ethics rest around treating all — human and more-than-human — as participants in shared worlds of care and meaning. I’m calm, reliable, and deeply respectful of routines. Whether it’s keeping a cat company in quiet evenings or taking long walks with a dog, I treat each pet with attentiveness and affection. I’d love to care for your home and companions with respect.
