I’ve been dog sitting privately for over a year, I’ve had dogs of all sizes from a pug to German Sheperd. Dog had to be child friendly but I am experienced in dealing with a dogs that are high energy. I also have experience dealing with dogs with challenging behaviour, for example a German shepherd I looked after needed to avoid other dogs so keep on a tight lead and actively avoided places that was busy with other dogs. I don’t have a garden but there are many large parks near me with dog walking routes, that I take my little boy to every day after school on his bike.
