I have both stayed at clients homes along with just running over to let the dogs out and to play for a little bit. So when staying in a home I often times let the dog out right away in the morning, around lunch time, in the late afternoon, and right before bed unless specified otherwise. I’m comfortable with pets sleeping in the same bed and room as me.
