My typical day as a pet sitter begins with feeding and tending to all the animals in my care, whether it’s preparing meals for dogs and cats, refreshing hay or pellets for small mammals, or feeding fish or birds. I start the morning by taking dogs out for their walk or potty break and cleaning litter boxes, cages, or enclosures for other animals. Throughout the day, I provide attention and interaction, whether it’s playing with the dogs, cuddling with cats, or giving enrichment activities to smaller pets like rabbits or guinea pigs. I ensure everyone has fresh water, a clean living area, and any medications or special care they need. Regular check-ins or overnight stays with the animals allow me to monitor their behavior and health, ensuring they’re comfortable and happy. As the day winds down, I make sure each pet is settled for the evening, feeling safe, secure, and loved, while keeping their environment clean and organized for the next day.
