I've been around animals my whole life, so I've got a pretty good sense for reading different personalities and picking up on when something's off, whether it's stress or a health issue starting to show. I've taken care of senior pets too, including giving meds and just being patient with them in the way older animals need. On the flip side, I'm just as comfortable with a bouncy puppy who needs consistent training and boundaries along with lots of positive reinforcement. Every pet is different, so I try to meet them where they're at instead of expecting them to fit my routine. And since I work remotely with a flexible schedule, I'm actually around during the day, not just popping in for a quick check. Your pets will have someone paying real attention to them, keeping them happy, healthy, and loved while you're out.

I provide attentive, loving care and create a safe environment for pets whether in my home or yours. I prioritize following your established routines to minimize stress for your animals. When house sitting, I respect your home while ensuring your pets maintain their comfortable surroundings and familiar schedule. I'm detail-oriented about safety, keeping doors secure, following feeding instructions, and staying alert to any behavioral or health changes. I'll send regular updates with photos so you can see your pets are happy and well-cared for. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your home and beloved animals are in responsible, caring hands during your absence

Mackenzie was disappointing in her services. I booked her to housesit my cat Jose from Aug 20-23 from 4pm -4pm. This means that she stays the night at my home. She stayed the first night and that was it. When I returned home, it seemed as if no one had been there much of the time. The towels left out for her went unused and nothing else seemed disturbed. So, I texted her and asked if she had stayed the night. She responded "Nope just Thursday evening, and then would return back usually by 7am ish, afternoon check in, hang and food, and evening around 9-10pm again." As you can imagine I was not ok with this, as I paid her to stay the night. My cat is very social so leaving him alone overnight is not ok. When I asked her why she didn't stay the night her reply was "My rates are cheaper to do the housesit rather than 3 check ins so all of my clients before have just selected that." We never had a conversation about this and I would never agree to this. I want someone there overnight. I have never heard of folks doing this. She did refund half of the charges. But it is not about the money. Be AWARE if you hire her for overnight housesitting. I will not hire her again.
Mackenzie was amazing! I asked her very last minute to watch our two dogs while we were out of town and I (and the pups) immediately loved her. She was communicative and I felt very comfortable with her staying in our space. I would absolutely recommend Mackenzie and will be booking again!
Mackenzie was excellent with our dog, Baker, while we were away for the week. Baker can be a bit of a difficult dog to watch, but she handled everything incredibly well and made him feel comfortable in her care. She kept us updated daily with messages and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that Baker trusted her, and we’re so grateful for how attentive and patient she was. I would highly recommend Mackenzie to anyone looking for a reliable, caring at-home sitter!

I work remotely with a flexible schedule, which means I'm available throughout the day to care for your pets. My work arrangement allows me to provide consistent attention, regular feeding times, and plenty of companionship for your furry family members. I already enjoy taking 1-2 walks daily as part of my routine, and I would love to bring your pets along for these outings. Whether it's midday potty breaks, morning exercise, or evening strolls, I can easily adapt my schedule to maintain your pets' regular routines and ensure they receive the care and attention they deserve.
