I have a fenced in yard with dog door access to the house. We have one very friendly wheaten terrier who is 2 years old and loves to play with other dogs. He is also calm with older dogs who are not as active and playful. Additionally my house is set up in a way that I can easily separate dogs of different energy levels as needed.

A typical day will really vary depending on the dog. I understand that every pet is unique, so I tailor my care to each dog's personality, energy level, and routine. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, enrichment activities, or simply relaxing with a caring companion, I'll make sure they receive the individualized attention they deserve.

Animals have always been a passion of mine, and I have over 20 years of professional experience caring for a wide variety of species. Throughout my life, my family has almost always had at least one dog, and I grew up caring for rabbits, hamsters, and birds. I want to provide the best care to a small number of pets at any given time. I am also independently insured with pet sitter insurance. In addition to hands-on animal care, I have extensive professional experience assisting with veterinary procedures and am confident administering medications, including oral medications, injections, and other routine treatments as directed. I also have significant experience using positive reinforcement training methods to help animals learn appropriate behaviors while building trust, confidence, and a positive relationship. I understand that every pet is unique, so I tailor my care to each dog's personality, energy level, and routine. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, enrichment activities, or simply relaxing with a caring companion, I'll make sure they receive the individualized attention they deserve. My home features a large, fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely explore, sniff, play, and exercise. I strive to create a calm, safe, and enriching environment where pets feel comfortable and at home while you're away. I always prefer to do a meet and greet whenever possible to make sure my home is the right fit for your animal. Whether your pet needs daily care, medication administration, exercise, or simply companionship, I will treat them with the same patience, compassion, and attention I give my own animals. Amazing! Mackenzie is the best. She walked to my house to pick up my golden retriever and mini Aussie and walked them back to her place. What service! We had a great talk on the porch about all of my golden’s quirks. He can nip, he can be aggressive with other dogs, he’s over exuberant…etc. She took it all in stride and told me not to worry. Sure enough she took care of everything and had nothing but praise for my challenging pup. She sent pics and updates throughout the entire visit. I knew they were in good hands. My Aussie has abandonment issues but she felt right at home at Makenzie’s and wasn’t stressed at all. It was the best play date ever! Both dogs enjoyed Mackenzie, her dog Bruce and they were absolutely pampered by her darling daughter Gretchen. I cannot recommend Mackenzie highly enough and I will absolutely be using her again. 5 stars all the way! She even dropped them back off at my house! Incredible service. Thank you Mackenzie!!
Mackenzie took amazing care of Fritz! I had to find a very last minute overnight for him and really appreciated how quickly Mackenzie responded and how great she was with communication. You can tell she really loves animals and is very thoughtful and attentive to the pets and people lucky enough to be in her orbit.
Mackenzie was super flexible, communicative and professional. My pup had a great time under her watchful eye. She followed all of my directions to a tee and then some. She went above and beyond to make sure my girl was happy as well as keep me updated on her stay. If you’re looking for someone seasoned to take care of your pets, Mackenzie is your gal!
Mackenzie was wonderful with Gracie. She was kind, welcoming and let Gracie settle in at her own pace. Mackenzie's dog, Bruce, is a total sweetheart. Shared his toys and was willing to play with Gracie when she was ready. It is important to me that Gracie has kind, loving care, as she is 13, a bit shy and can be stressed because she is a rescue. Mackenzie totally got it. I should add that Mackenzie's kids were wonderful and clearly understand how to be around dogs. Would definitely have Gracie stay again and would recommend Mackenzie to a friend.
