Caring for your pets when you can't
Animals have always been a passion of mine, and I have over 20 years of professional experience caring for a wide variety of species. Throughout my life, my family has almost always had at least one dog, and I grew up caring for rabbits, hamsters, and birds. I want to provide the best care to a small number of pets at any given time. I am also independently insured with pet sitter insurance. In addition to hands-on animal care, I have extensive professional experience assisting with veterinary procedures and am confident administering medications, including oral medications, injections, and other routine treatments as directed. I also have significant experience using positive reinforcement training methods to help animals learn appropriate behaviors while building trust, confidence, and a positive relationship. I understand that every pet is unique, so I tailor my care to each dog's personality, energy level, and routine. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, enrichment activities, or simply relaxing with a caring companion, I'll make sure they receive the individualized attention they deserve. My home features a large, fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely explore, sniff, play, and exercise. I strive to create a calm, safe, and enriching environment where pets feel comfortable and at home while you're away. I always prefer to do a meet and greet whenever possible to make sure my home is the right fit for your animal. Whether your pet needs daily care, medication administration, exercise, or simply companionship, I will treat them with the same patience, compassion, and attention I give my own animals. My goal is to provide dependable, attentive care so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is being well cared for. I look forward to getting to know you and your animals!

Schedule
I am generally at home though I do leave at times for errands or volunteer work. During the afternoons I'm often taking my kids to various activities.

I have a fenced in yard with dog door access to the house. We have one very friendly wheaten terrier who is 2 years old and loves to play with other dogs. He is also calm with older dogs who are not as active and playful. Additionally my house is set up in a way that I can easily separate dogs of different energy levels as needed.

A typical day will really vary depending on the dog. I understand that every pet is unique, so I tailor my care to each dog's personality, energy level, and routine. - To help me provide the best possible care, please let me know about any medical, behavioral, or emotional needs your dog may have. This includes any sensitive areas or physical limitations (such as hip or joint issues), allergies, medications, or mobility concerns. I'd also appreciate knowing about any situations that may cause your dog to become anxious or reactive, such as meeting other dogs, encounters with people, leash walking, loud noises, bicycles, wildlife, or specific sounds. If there are any triggers, fears, or behaviors you'd like me to be aware of, please share those as well. The more I know about your dog's personality, routine, likes, dislikes, and individual needs, the better I can ensure they have a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience in my care.
