Safety, comfort, and consistency are my top priorities. I provide care in a calm, clean, pet-free home where I only host one small dog or cat at a time, allowing for full attention and a low-stress environment. Pets will primarily stay in the main living room/kitchen open area or a quiet spare office room, depending on what makes them most comfortable. The home has natural airflow and a light breeze throughout, and air conditioning is available during warmer days to keep pets cool and comfortable. I also have a small balcony available, and I will only bring pets outside on it if the owner approves. For exercise and enrichment, I have access to ample walking paths in my neighborhood as well as a dedicated on-leash dog park nearby. All outdoor time is closely supervised and tailored to each pet’s needs and routine. I follow all owner instructions carefully, including feeding, routines, medications, and comfort preferences, to ensure consistency and peace of mind while you are away. To ensure the best care and a safe, comfortable environment, I like to know a few important details about your pet ahead of time. This includes whether your pet sheds heavily, their potty training habits (for dogs), and whether they are comfortable using both outdoor bathroom breaks and pee pads if needed. I also ask that pets are friendly, non-aggressive, and do not bite, as safety is a top priority in my home and during walks. If your dog is social, it is helpful to know whether they are comfortable around other dogs, as we may visit a nearby on-leash dog park for exercise and enrichment (only with owner approval and based on temperament). Additionally, please let me know if your pet has any separation anxiety, reactivity on leash, escape tendencies, or any behaviors that require extra attention or management. It is also helpful to understand their feeding instructions, medication needs, sleep routines, crate training (if applicable), and any specific comfort habits they rely on. Clear information about their emergency vet, medical history, and any known allergies is also appreciated so I can respond appropriately if anything arises. This information allows me to provide safe, consistent, and individualized care while maintaining a calm, structured environment for every pet I host.

A typical day is calm, structured, and tailored to each pet. Dogs enjoy neighborhood walks and visits to a nearby park for exercise and enrichment, while also having time to relax in a quiet home environment. I balance activity with rest so pets feel comfortable and not overstimulated. For cats, the day includes feeding on schedule, litter care, gentle interaction, and quiet companionship based on their comfort level. I also provide toys and enrichment activities while always respecting their need for space and downtime. Throughout the day, I maintain a consistent routine so pets feel secure, cared for, and at ease.

I have access to spacious walking paths and a dedicated dog park, making it easy to provide regular exercise & enrichment tailored to each pet’s routine. What sets me apart is the calm, highly attentive, and low-capacity care I provide in a clean, pet-free home environment. I live in a quiet 850 sq. ft. second-floor townhouse that offers a peaceful, controlled space ideal for pets who do best without overwhelming activity. Because I do not have pets of my own in the home, I’m able to maintain a calm environment where visiting pets can fully relax and feel secure. I also have experience regularly dog sitting for my siblings’ small dogs, which has given me familiarity with different personalities, routines, and care needs. My approach is intentional and detail-oriented—I prioritize safety, structure, and individualized care so each pet feels comfortable, cared for, and at home while their owner is away. Mackenzie is a wonderful sitter for my mini pinscher/chihuahua mix, Jeffery. She and her significant other, Lopaka, have cared for Jeffery for everything from a few hours on holidays to several days for my trips off island. Her home is clean, she is diligent with feeding and walking schedules. I always receive daily pictures and updates. She also keeps up on reinforcing training and good habits since Jeffery is still a puppy. Jeffery got to explore her quiet neighborhood in Mililani and even went to their community dog park.
