I work long weekend hours as a vet assistant so I'm not available for dog sitting on Saturdays and Sundays, but I can do drop-in visits after work. During the week, I'm available most anytime!

I would prefer to meet with clients and their pets beforehand at least once, if not a couple times, to make sure that pets are acquainted with me and that I am comfortable and confident with their normal routine. In a client's home, I would like to follow all the steps that they follow to ensure that their animals are as safe and happy with me as they are on an everyday basis.

Pet parents know their children best, and I want to know everything that you know to keep them as comfortable as possible. Some animals have preferences on how they like to be pet and where, or don't like when their bed gets moved to a new spot. It's my goal to care for and respect your pets and their spaces while I'm with them.
A typical day
As a cat parent who doesn't own dogs, one of my favorite things about dog sitting is getting to do all the fun things that my cats don't care about doing. Going for a walk? Playing tag in the backyard? Eating fun snacks? Yes please! As for cats, I'm very familiar with the ways that cats usually want to play and interact, but I also love and respect that some cats may not care to see me or play with me at all, and I'm happy enough just to feed them and leave them be to do whatever they want.

Since the day I was born, not a day has passed that I haven't had pets in my life! I grew up with dogs, cats, and sugar gliders. I have experience with newborn pet care and senior pet care, as well as exotics, farm animals, and wildlife. At 17 years old, I got my first job working for a local pet store where I lived in Michigan, and I worked there until I was 24. I gained experience with just about every species of pet you could think of, and I have owned almost as many. I was also able to pet sit for many of our regular customers. In my own home, I have cats, rabbits, chinchillas, a degu, and a parrot! I make a lot of my own pet food, so I am no stranger to raw feeding or pet meal prep. I'm also a huge plant lover, and would take great care in making sure that any household plants would be taken care of if a client needed it. The last photo that I posted is an example of the post-sitting rundown that you can expect from me!

Mackenzie has been fantastic with our puppy! She has gone out of her way to make sure he gets everything he needs and is cared for. Mackenzie is wonderful. She came over to meet my two boys the day before and then dropped in the next three days for visits. She sent me pictures and was very attentive to their needs. Played with both of them outside, gave them love and treats. We will be continuing to book her to take care of our dogs. Highly recommend!
Mackenzie was great! She was consistent with the schedule we discussed. Makenzie posted pictures of every visit. I would recommend Mackenzie to take care of your fur babies she took great care of my cat Josie.
Mackenzie was wonderful with our two dogs. They loved her. She was punctual, attentive and responded quickly to texts and provided updates with videos of our dogs . She took care of our dogs very well. She stayed overnight and left the house clean and tidy. She made every effort to follow the care instructions for our dogs. Highly recommend her.
