I strive to make sure your pet is safe, happy, and comfortable throughout our time spent together whether in your home or on our walks. When I stay in a client's home, I like to keep things as clean as possible so there is hardly any cleanup required for the client upon returning home. I will go above and beyond caring for your dog thanks to your rules and routine. It will be as of you never left home. During our walks, I always keep your dog away from others and their dogs and provide a summary of their walk.

I always like to meet your dog before the service begins. This is to ensure that you and your pet are comfortable with me and to ensure I follow all of your directions for their care. I want to make sure all parties are comfortable before a stay and walk. I must be made aware of the name, number, and location of your pets veterinarian and/or emergency veterinarian. If something were to happen I would not want to scramble during an important time. In addition, please let me know if your dog has any special needs or medications, allergies or special required food or treats, special behaviors I need to be aware of, a certain routine, and commands your dog knows. I strongly encourage going over their behaviors and routines before the service starts.
A typical day
I will observe your dog and see what they find the most fun toy wise and join in if they want me to. If they are more of a couch potato and love to be pet, consider it done too. I'll gladly take them on walks throughout my stay so they can receive exercise and an opportunity to sniff new smells.

I strive to offer top level personalized care for your pet no matter if it is our first meeting or if I’ve been with them for an extended period of time. I've loved dogs since I was a kid and nothing truly makes me happier than caring for dogs and making sure they are safe. I have 3 years of senior pet care experience for my grandmother’s Boxer and I am going on 15 years of caring for my dog, Mila. I've pet sat for family and friends multiple times throughout the years. I have experience giving pets various medications; eye drops, insulin, and pills. I am a fear free certified pet sitter and strive to help minimize fear, anxiety, or stress in your anxious pet while you're away. I want to ensure they're comfortable and are having what an enjoyable time looks like for them while in my care.

Mackenzie has been great with our dogs! We have a reactive pup that loves to act tough when he meets people for the first time. She planned a meet and greet and did great with him. Giving him time and space to get comfortable around her. After a few visits he was climbing in her lap to hang out and get pets. She was always great with communication, last minute requests, and updates every day. She even wiped their paws on rainy days when they ran in mud. Our pups love her and always look forward to seeing her.

This was our second time using Mackenzie and she was fantastic. Our two cats were well taken care of and we received lots of photos and a written update after every visit. This was especially reassuring because one of our cats is special needs and requires medical care. We will absolutely reach out to Mackenzie for future needs!
