Let the animals do their thing while keeping a watchful eye on them as much as possible. Checking their food and water every so often to make sure they have that in stock always, unless there are scheduled feedings.

Whenever I get to have breaks within my busy schedule, I can always come and check in on the pets and make sure they are doing okay.
