Information Mackenzie A. would like to know about your pet
Routines and tuning for food, exercise, normal digestion, sleep and waking up. For example, once I cared for a dog who needed three walks each day, yet when I took her out she just sat and refused to budge; I thought maybe she just missed her people and reached out to let them know she didn’t seem to want to walk, just in case something might be wrong. They assured this is simply her personality and something she does often! If there’s any quirks and you’d rather not receive updates and questions, please let me know. Otherwise I’m happy to reach out as well.
A typical day
I love a balance of outside and indoor time. Even on days when I’m not dog watching, I take a daily walk around 8am. Playing catch, gentle tug of war, or for cats a laser pointer’s always fun and promotes daily exercise which leads to more cuddles!

My grandma owns a pet-sitting business, so I grew up helping with drop-ind and overnight care! I continued this during my time at Brown University over the holidays for fun and the joy of animal companions. So I’ve worked with people’s pets over the YEARS due to good relationships and response in times of need.

My dog was provided great care. However, Mackenzie stayed in my home for several nights and left dirty pans, one of which was permanently damaged and a dirty appliance. I spent hours cleaning up from the stay. When I asked about it, I was told her rates were low given the holiday and that grocery stores and delivery were unreliable in the areas, despite a grocery store 3 miles away. I would have happily paid more to not come home to a mess and damage. I would say she would be fine for day care/walking but would not recommend for overnight stays.
Mackenzie is amazing with our two black labs Jason and Louie ! First , she’s a super communicative person , easy to book with and very professional! Next , she’s a an educated young woman with a masters from brown . What that means for us is that she’s able not just to watch our doggies but she house sits too or basically manages our household as needed including our dogs . She’s very active with them and we know they are in safe hands with a professional who loves our household and our dogs like no other ! Highly recommended!
Mackenzie loves all pets. She is a pet owner herself. I recently had two cancer surgeries. Mackenzie took excellent care of my two cats while I was recuperating. I never had to be concerned about their care which was a blessing. I highly recommend Mackenzie as a pet sitter.
