I have been raised with animals and always had them around me when growing up. Since when I can remember, I always wanted to help with the care in any way I could, this has always been my biggest passion. At my 12th, I started taking care of the animals of friends and family too. This was a very nice way for me to spend my spare time and I turned it into my side job when I was 15. After high school, I followed a special education and internship where taking care of animals was key. We were treating and caring for animals, while guiding people with personal problems to help them get back into society. I have lots of patience and all the time in the world to make sure your pet feels comfortable and at home. I also have experience with anxious and selective dogs. My first priority will always be the happiness and wellbeing of all animals! When talking about young animals, I have a good experience too. I have helped with raising many different ones and had multiple of my own too. I can help to house train your dog and teach him/her all the basics. I will follow and help with all the rules and habits that you’d want your youngster(s) to have. Maaike is amazing. I'm extremely demanding when it comes to my Lola, and she took care of her as if she were her own. Lola has special needs — due to canine distemper, she has spasms and her paw needs to be wrapped to keep it from dragging on the ground, plus she takes daily supplements and CBD at night to help her sleep through the spasms — and Maaike took care of all of it without any issues. I went on an 18-day trip, and from the daily updates, I honestly thought Lola wouldn't want to come home! She went on walks, played with all the other puppies, and clearly had a blast. I'll definitely be using Maaike's services again in the future, whether for daycare or boarding.
Maaike took great care of Catarina! She kept me updated during the stay, and it was clear that Catarina felt comfortable and happy with her. She’s kind, caring, and I felt completely at ease leaving Catarina with her. I would definitely book with Maaike again. Thank you! 🥰
Maaike was so great! She took my request last minute even though it was the first time and made sure she got to know Layla first. Everything went well and she sent photos and updates. Layla was returned a happy camper and she even got AC at her place during a mega hot day. Super!

We left our 8-month-old miniature poodle with Maaike for a week for boarding, and she was absolutely amazing with him. She kept us updated regularly with messages, photos and videos about how he was doing and all the fun activities they were having together, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It’s clear that she has a lot of knowledge about dogs, their needs, and their behavior. Our puppy came home calmer, more confident, and he even started sleeping in his own bed instead of ours — something we had been struggling with for a long time! She’s excellent not only with dogs, but with their owners as well. Communication was always easy, open, and reassuring, and she was happy to answer all of our questions. We truly felt that our puppy was cared for like part of her family. We would absolutely trust her with him again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and experienced dog sitter.

After following an education as a first aid nurse and going to 42 Paris, I’ve decided to become a full-time pet sitter, which means that I dedicate all my time to ensuring your pets are under the best possible care!

I have an apartment that is a bit over 50m2. For me, it is okay to have dogs on the couch and in bed, but that depends on what the owner of the dog has in habits, which I will follow. Within this apartment I have two rabbits living in a cage, so it would be preferable for the dogs not to bark excessively or possibly even try to get inside with them. Next to the apartment, we have a large fenced private garden where there regularly are other dogs from neighbors that live in the same complex. There is lots of grass and the dogs can run around and play here. I usually take the dogs into this garden every day. Whether they want to play or just sniff around, it’s always nice to spend time outdoors! When I will be taking care of your animal at his/her own home, I will follow all the rules and expectations that we discuss on forehand. I find it very important that an animal gets consistency in the rules and habits, so we will discuss how we can best follow this with the least change possible.

This being my full-time job, means that I can do all the fun activities with your dog that he/she likes the most. I can give you dog all of my attention and will search for the type of behavior that fits best. When the times aren’t too busy, I also like to plan forest trips with the dogs, where we can walk around for hours and meet many new friends! I aim to go to the forest once a week. Organization policy: I work with 30-minute time slots for drop-off and pick-up. If there is a delay of more than 20 minutes, this will cost €10 per half hour.

- What I find most important to know on forehand, is whether there are certain triggers that can better be avoided with your dog. But I also love to hear what it is that they do love and how they enjoy spending their day best! Of course it’s also very important to let me know if your dog has any allergies or other sensitivities.
