Loving and reliable dog caretaker!
Hi! My name is Lyric, and I’m super eager to start caring for your pets. I have years of experience, from working as a dog walker and sitter, for a company in my home town in Overland Park! I also have my own person experience having grown up with two German Shepherds and a senior teacup Yorkie! My job introduced me to so many different breads and personalities, giving me the knowledge to be able to customize my care around each dog based on their on their specific needs and what’s most beneficial and enjoyable for them! I’m super comfortable with all kinds of dogs—from big and energetic to small and cuddly. I personally trained all three of my dogs to shake and roll over, and I also helped care for my Yorkie during his senior years before he passed. My main goal is to make sure each dog feels loved and appreciated! Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or just some company while you’re away, I bring patience, love, and genuine care to every visit. I’ll treat your dog like they’re part of my family.

Whether I’m in my home or yours, I always aim to make pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I follow any routines or instructions closely—whether it’s feeding schedules, preferred walking routes, or special care needs. I make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and potty breaks, and I keep things clean and calm. I’m respectful of each home I visit and treat it with care, just like I do with your pets.

Lyric as an awesome caregiver. She watched my dog for a week when I was out of town and I am pleased to say my dog was very well taken care of!! My dog Chloe was taken on multiple walks a day and was cuddled and loved. I think lyric would be an awesome caregiver for any breed of dog!!

I’m currently in nursing school and looking for a flexible job that fits around my classes and study time. Pet care is the perfect fit—not only does it work with my schedule, but spending time with dogs brings me a calming sense of comfort that helps balance the stress of school. I’ve always found that being around animals is healing, and I love how caring for them benefits both of us. Plus, I enjoy staying active, so daily walks and playtime are a bonus I genuinely look forward to.

- Before watching any pet, I always like to know their routine, what kind of dog they are, and any special needs or services they may need. Things like: Do they have any allergies or medications? How do they do on walks or around other dogs? Are there any triggers or things that make them anxious? What’s their feeding and bathroom schedule? Or do they have favorite toys, activities, or comfort items? Knowing these details helps me give them the best, safest care possible and keeps their routine as normal and stress-free as possible while you’re away.
