Hi! I’m Lyra. Musician, journalist student, music teacher, poetry lover and dog trainer. I adore all things dog related! I grew up with a whippet / husky mix for 18 years and have 6 years of dog training expertise, specializing in puppy training. I am extremely passionate about animals, and believe that they are the true healers of life and the epitome of a best friend for life! I come from a positive reinforcement background using a clicker regarding dog training. Services I can offer: -basic puppy training -basic leash training -sit/stay/come commands -house/dog sitting while you are away -crate training -dog walks/runs -dog relaxation techniques -dog shaping I care for dogs of all sizes and personalities, including administering any medications necessary, puppy training, and basic dog training. I love to stimulate dogs physically and mentally! Playing games such as shaping while using a clicker to incite positive reinforcement is something I love to do. I also love to play tug, fetch, go to parks and take long walks around the neighbourhood!

Lyra is awesome with our two big crazy dogs. They require a ton of extra work and a great deal of knowledge and patience. She does a ton of training with them, and sends lots of pictures and updates. We always come back to them tired and happy, and we look forward to booking with her again!
We went with Lyra again for an extended weekend trip and honestly we couldn’t be happier. She communicates consistently and loves our dogs. Our home is always left in tip top condition and our girls are tired. She especially takes a lot of time and has so much patience for our dog with medical issues and leash reactivity. I will forever sing her praises from the rooftops. We adore you Lyra!!
Lyra was excellent with our girl Bella. Bella did so well with her and the photos and videos that were sent for the entire week were great and appreciated! Thank you.....Lyra!!!! I was worried to leave Bella for the entire week, but Lyra put my mind at ease. (I think she misses Lyra with all the play time she got)
Lyra is a wonderful dog sitter. She is great with communication and making sure you have peace of mind when away. My pup has a few quirks but is a sweet girl and she absolutely adores Lyra. I would highly recommend Lyra to take care of your fur baby.
Lyra was absolutely amazing! It was my first time leaving my pup with someone new and I was very nervous. Upon meeting Lyra I knew she'd be an amazing fit. Lyra sent lots of updates and checked in daily. I would definitely recommend Lyra. I'm pretty sure my pup had more fun over the last couple of days than she's had in a while 😃

Schedule
Along with studying and teaching music, caring for and training pets is my #1 passion. I always find time to make time for pet care, no matter what my university schedule is like!
