I'm fully retired and while I enjoy the outdoors -- hiking and walking, camping and fishing, I also have plenty of time to devote to caring for pets whose owners are busy or away.

My yard is fully fenced and conveniently located in the town of Westcliffe. If boarding, your pet would be allowed to treat our home like its own. If in your home (within a reasonable distance), scheduled visits will meet your specific requirements such as play time, short walks and feeding schedules.

Information Lynne D. would like to know about your pet
I want to know about the animal's temperament. if I have a dog that is super friendly or not. I'm OK either way. I like to walk the neighborhood and downtown Westcliffe. If your dog is not super friendly, we can limit our walking to The Bluff and/or avoid other dog walkers. This includes overnight doggie guests. If the owner prefers we not walk, then fine. We can stay and play in the yard. It's also important to know if the animal has particular medical requirements and a set schedule.
A typical day
DeWeese Reservoir is one of my favorite places to walk or hike through the woods with a dog. I also like the Silvercliffe dog park (off leash) for throwing balls and seeing the pet run and play, or the Park to Park trail. Alternatively, the dog can snuffle around our backyard and enjoy the safety of a fully-fenced yard.

Pet care experience
Currently, only taking overnight guests (boarding in my home) on a case-by-case basis. Please ask. I have a rescue puppy who so far, gets along great with every dog she meets. I have been around pets all my life. I've looked after my own and friends' and family's animals specifically cats and dogs. I will give lots of time, personalized attention, walks and love to your pet while you are away. I offer in-home pet sitting in my home in town, or in your home depending on your location. This personalized and individualized care compared to boarding or kenneling seems to be preferable for happy pets and owners.

Reviews
Left my dog feeling stressed because this was his first overnight away from home! He truly could not have been in better hands! I received pictures during his stay and this was so comforting. Thank you, Lynne!

Lynne was amazing! Our sweet girl Pearl loved staying for the day and playing. She was very loved and spoiled.
Lynne has taken care of Ruger, a 9-year old Doberman on several occasions for me. Ruger is energetic, fast and sweet, but a bit of a handful. Lynne is able to keep him happy and safe, and he loves her taking care of him.
I have had Lynne pet sit for me for my two dogs many times. Harley is Border Collie/Shepherd Mix and Bubba is a little rescue companion to Harley. Both dogs are lively and like a lot of attention. Both dogs enjoy their time with Lynne whether it be walks or just playing in the yard. I would definitely recommend Lynne to other pet parents.
