I have a fenced yard and currently indoor cats only. I can transport your dog(s) for walks and exercise or grooming care, or come to your home for play and exercise in your yard or home. Shy, older, and young pets are all safe and loved with me. I am experienced with very shy and nervous animals and also with energetic, young ones. I am willing to work with pets who need some guidance on heeling, walking on a leash, and some basic commands. Under no circumstances do I use verbal or physical punishment on any animal, only positive reinforcement and encouragement.

I would like to know your dog's level of skill on a leash and am willing to work on this if your dog is new to being walked on a lead. I prefer not to use retractable leashes or any sort of collar that provides discomfort as a consequence of pulling. Dogs known to be dog aggressive will not be taken anywhere with other dogs, and I need that information up front. Please let me know what incentives your dog responds to most- treats, balls, pets, brushing, car rides, etc.
A typical day
Some of my favorite places to walk are the parks and cemeteries in Peoria. Bradley Park, the Rock Island Greenway and Trail, Detweiler, Riverfront Park, Springdale Cemetery, and more. If your dog(s) are ready for some outdoor time, I can transport them and take them to a space that would be best for their level of activity and social skills. I will send you photos and videos of all activities. I also enjoy walking around neighborhoods close to home with your dog if you prefer they stay nearby, or if they are more comfortable with short, low key exercise.

In addition to living with a dog and 5 cats over the last 20 years, I've also fostered more than 60 pets from an animal shelter and two rescues. I've handled cats and dogs of all ages and with various behaviors and health conditions. I love cats and dogs equally, and as my household currently does not include a dog, I get so much joy from caring for the canine family members of others! I am an active person who walks several miles daily and I would love to have your furry family member along when I go out on a walk, to get some exercise, socialize, and enjoy the outdoor environment.

Lynn visited my kitten while I was gone for the Labor Day weekend and ensured he was fully engaged, fed him his food/water, assisted with nail trim and fed him provided treats to ensure he was comfortable and happy. My cat was very affectionate and got along very well with Lynn. Will definitely request her services in the future.
Doggo was a happy camper and all went well.
