I never anticipated that pet care would turn into a nearly full-time job for me! Big thanks to all my repeat clients who give me the opportunity to do what I love. I offer drop-in care or walks between the hours of 6:30am & 8:30pm most days. Due to high demand, "lunch hour" 11am-1pm visits & walks may not be available on some days and may need to be shifted up to half an hour earlier or later.

Safety, trust & environment

Your pets health & happiness is my priority. I know each one has a unique personality and unique needs. I strive to make sure they're just as content with me as when they're at home with you! I recently completed pet FIRST AID and CPR training through the PetTECH "Pet Saver Program" so I'd be better prepared to help your pets in an emergency.

Information LYNDSAY B. would like to know about your pet

For my safety and your dog's safety, I require a "meet & greet" before any service. I want your dog to be comfortable with me, know that I'm welcome in their space, and take detailed notes on their routine, health & behavior. I'm open to scheduling a meet & greet immediately preceding a walk/drop-in visit as long as the owner or another family member is present. I prefer, but do not require a meet & greet prior to drop-in care for cats.

A typical day

DROP-IN VISITS - During a 30 or 60 minute drop-in visit, I can take your dog out for a potty break or brief walk, refill their water and food, give medications or supplements, scoop the litter box, and give your pet some attention and playtime. WALKS - Will be tailored to your dog's needs; I can speed walk a few miles with your energetic pup, or take it slow & soak up the sunshine with your senior. HOUSE SITTING - Typically overnight house sitting runs from 6 or 7pm through 7 or 8am, and includes at least one hour long drop-in visit around lunchtime, and a 30 minute morning or evening walk. I do my best to keep your pet on their normal routine and schedule, and I'm happy to adjust pricing to include additional drop-in visits if needed. Currently, I'm unable to accept house-sitting requests longer than 4 nights.

Walk - Sit - Stay & PLAY!

Pet care experience

I've always loved animals! From an early age I was playing with my neighbors rabbits, the dog next door & pretty much every cat I met. Currently my husband & I share our home in Nags Head with 3 sweet (and sometimes sassy!) black cats. Our senior dog, Athena crossed the rainbow bridge last year, and we miss her dearly. While it was challenging and often heartbreaking to care for her in her later years, it was also a learning experience that gave me the skills & confidence to administer a variety of oral and injected medications, recognize emergencies & assist her as her mobility declined. I know how hard it is to leave a special needs dog in another's care, and I strive to give you the peace of mind that your pets will have the same care and love they're accustomed to while you're home. For the past 10 or so years I've been looking after my coworkers, friends and neighbors pets while they're away and recently started volunteering my time with the SPCA cats at the Petsmart adoption center. I enjoy it so much, I thought I should offer my services to the public.

Amazing as always! She has stepped up so much for me while I’m recovering her surgery and I’m so grateful could not do these things without her
