I've always adored animals! I'm very attentive, I care on a personal level and can't stand to watch an animal be abused or treated unkindly. In Denmark, where I'm from, I had the floofiest, sweetest, most wise orange tornado named Caesar. He was my best friend for years and would cuddle up to me when I was sad or needed a hug. He was truly my own companion in some of the most trying times. In Paris, I live in a small studio and don't have the heart to have a cat, even though I'd love to. One day, my former boss and friend came to the office to gift me a hamster! I'd been taking care of her hamster for a month before that, and she saw just how much I loved it. I looked upon that little guy and named him Jon Snow. It was instinctual. Jon Snow was honestly the best little guy ever. He was told by the doctor that he was unusually friendly and calm, and that made me proud. I really researched all about hamsters, their needs, how to maximize their comfort. The correct dimensions of their enclosures, bedding height, food ratio and blends. Cork logs, underground tunnels. I did all I could to make him as comfortable as possible. Pets are creatures we should not take for granted and living here in this concrete jungle in Paris has made me want to seek out pets and nature a lot more.
