Animal whisperer & caregiver!
I adore animals, and your fur babies will be well cared for; rest assured! I'm something of an animal whisperer; I tune in and speak their language. Hugs, songs, personalized care, bar none! I send updates with pictures! For me my love of pets began with Charlottes Web, my sweet Chihuahua who I nicknamed Toto (I fancied myself to be Dorothy), nestling next to my sweet kitty, followed by parakeets, and bunnies, I also collected plastic horses and chased butterflies. (Yes, I was that girl!) So, it became a natural fit, along with my career as a writer (that affords me a flexible schedule and much freedom), to make myself available at a moment's notice to care for home & hearth, animals of all stripes and breeds, large and small. I love what I do! I'm also available for longer housesitting jobs, traveling as needed, to care for your home: tending to mail, plants, garden, and of course, pets. I love repeat clients, that way, I get to know each one, establishing a bond. And in all cases, as a mature, kind, responsible caregiver, always responsive to needs, with a direct line of communication, so that you know your home and fur babies are always safe and well cared for =)

I am mindful of whatever is needed to ensure your pet is taken care of, be it physical or emotional, and I respect any protocols set in place. I avail myself of frequent contact should any questions or concerns arise to put your mind at rest!

Lygia was fantastic! She stayed overnight with my cat for the weekend, and I came home to a happy cat. She sent regular updates with nice pictures of the cat. My apartment was just as clean (and maybe cleaner) than I left it. Will definitely be asking her to take care of Prescott in the future. Thanks!
Lygia did such a wonderful job connecting with my somewhat shy cat! By the end of a short weekend he was engaged, interactive, and obviously happy to see her. I really appreciated all the time and effort she put into bonding with him.

I met Gia through Rufus and Delilah Dog Walking services. She took great care of my dog for almost 2 years, with daily walks and visits. She was very caring, professional, and organized in her approach. I completely trusted her with my dog - highly recommend!
