Safety, trust & environment

I did not grow up with pets myself, but because my neighbors knew me as trustworthy and responsible, I was asked frequently to care for their pets.

Information Lydia W. would like to know about your pet

First I need to know if your pet has any medications that need to given with their meals (I am not experienced with injected medications). Then I need to know if they get along with other pets, so that if I take them on a walk or to a local park, I can anticipate their behavior. If your pet has any other special needs worth noting, that’s also important information to me as well.

A typical day

I personally love being outside, so if your dog likes that as well, we will get along just fine! I normally like to do neighborhood walks, but if you are comfortable with your dog being unleashed in an enclosed area to play with a ball or a stick, I’m more than happy to engage in that activity.

Pet care experience

PLEASE NOTE: 1) Due to my full time job, I am only available for short-stint booking requests, not ongoing/weekly gigs. 2) I require 3 days advance notice so that I can accommodate your booking into my schedule. I was always called upon by my neighbors to take care of their pets (usually dogs and cats) whenever they went away for long vacations or short weekend getaways. My duties normally involved walking pets, feeding them, letting them out for potty breaks or changing litter boxes, giving them medication, and other odds-and-ends around the house such as cleaning or watering plants.

Lydia took such great care of our pets while we were away. She was communicative and sent regular updates and photos. We would absolutely book her again!

Lydia was wonderful with our black lab! She communicated with us every day and it was so nice knowing our dog and house were being taken care of so well while we were gone for 8 days.

This is the second time we've used Lydia to stay with our goofy cats and she's knocked it out of the park each time. She even got out most standoffish cat to play! Will use her again and again!
