Caring for a dog with anxiety has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding in creating a safe and comforting environment. At home, I ensure my anxious dog feels secure by maintaining a predictable routine, providing a quiet space to retreat when overwhelmed, and using calming techniques such as soothing music, gentle reassurance, and interactive toys. These experiences have helped me develop a deep empathy for dogs with unique needs, which I apply when caring for other people’s pets. I am attentive to each dog’s behavior, ensuring they feel relaxed and comfortable, whether through structured activities, gentle walks, or simply offering a calming presence. My goal is always to prioritize their emotional and physical well-being.

Lydia was a last minute replacement sitter for my Bengal cat Kamilah. I am very glad she agreed to fit us into her schedule. Lydia met Kamilah and they seemed to have a rapport right from the start. Lydia was timely, descriptive, and sent many photos in her updates. I have to say I believe my girl had a great time with Lydia. I look forward to booking with her again!
Lydia was absolutely amazing! She took such great care of Prince and Oakley while we were away, and I had complete peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. Our cat is diabetic and was also dealing with a UTI at the time, so he needed insulin and medications on a strict schedule. Lydia made sure he received everything on time and kept us updated throughout our trip. It’s clear she truly cares about animals and treats them like they’re her own. Coming home to happy, healthy pets meant everything to us. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and we’ll definitely be booking Lydia again. We had our first Rover experience and it was amazing! Lydia started us off with a meet and greet before we booked! She asked lots of questions about our animals habits and preferences. Once our pet sitting responsibilities began, she was in daily contact with us about our pets' activities. Pictures were sent every day. We were absolutely delighted with how well Lydia bonded with our animals and how thoughtful she was about their care! Thank you, Lydia! You are awesome!
