I'm a polite, responsible, social and friendly animal lover! I have had dogs and cats in the home all my life growing up, and while I don't currently own a dog, I’m always around them as I dog-sit for multiple friends and family members, as well as clients. I have handled various breeds of dogs, from Jack Russell Terriers, to American Pit Bulls, to Golden Retrievers and German Shepherds. I have experience with varying ages of dogs as well, from puppies younger than a year old to elderly needing medication. I am a humane society volunteer and have been since I was a kid :) Let me be the gal to take your dog outside to play! Or allow me to make sure your dog is safe and comforted in their own home while you are away.

Lydia did a fantastic job watching our boys! It was our first time leaving them in four years and we were nervous to do it, but the pups were in great shape when we returned. Lydia cared for them like her own when two got sick while she was here, and cleaned up after their sickness. In fact, she left the place cleaner than we had! We have three high-needs pups, one of whom is big, strong, and leash-reactive, and Lydia managed them with ease and professionalism. We’ll definitely be booking her for all of our pet care needs!

Highly recommend Lydia! She provided pictures of our doggos multiple times during our vacation. She was a great caretaker of our house too! Our instructions were followed perfectly for care of the dogs by her. Cannot say enough good things about her. One of our dogs literally keeps waking around looking for her after spending the week in her care. For sure, we will use Lydia again for our next vacation sitter. Total Pro!!

Lydia is amazing! My dog absolutely loved her and I felt great getting photo and video updates. I have a high energy dog who loves her routine, and Lydia did a wonderful job taking care of her. We even had to give a last minute medication from the vet, which Lydia did and really put me at ease. She was also house sitting, and left the house in perfect condition. Highly recommend!

Schedule
I'm self-employed, so I am very available and flexible when it comes to scheduling. I am available to pet-sit for up to one week at a time, including weekdays and weekends, and am available mornings and afternoons for walks and drop-ins!
Where your pet will stay
Safety, trust & environment
Please be sure to know that I will treat your home like my own! If your dog isn’t allowed on furniture, those same rules will apply with me. If your pup is used to crate training, we will keep that up, but if your dog gets to snuggle on the bed with you at night, I’ll give them all the snugs while you’re away! I’m a firm believer in leaving a place better than you found it, so I will always tidy up & you’ll come back to a clean home every time :)

A typical day
I love to go outside with active dogs and I absolutely do not mind staying inside and snuggling with less active dogs! I can be a total couch potato too if that’s what’s in the cards for your pup :) I love dog parks if you’ve got a social dog and the Jacksonville Trails and RoxyAnn Peak are two of my favorite spots for walks!
