English below! Hej! Jag heter Lydia och jag pluggar till en master på KTH. Jag är uppvuxen i USA och är halvsvensk/halvamerikan. Jag började att använda Rover några år sen när jag läste min kandidat i Boston. Jag har gjort typ allt när det gäller Rover: sitting, boarding, drop in, 2+ hundar, katter, reptiler, etc. och ser fram emot till flera äventyr. Jag föredrar att hjälpa med dygnspassning hemma hos dig, eller med ad hoc rastningar. Regelbundet rastning under arbetsdagen blir svårt, eftersom plugg och jobb schemat ändrar ofta. Jag kan även bjuda på fler referenser som jag har jobbat med utanför Rover appen. Resten har jag skrivit på engelska: I'm in the final semester of my Master’s at KTH, currently writing my thesis at Ericsson. I strongly believe that as much free time as possible should be devoted to animals. I have years of experience as a dog trainer, walker, and owner. This involvement has been both professional and for fun. I've volunteered dog-walking through my previous university, worked as a dog trainer for showing puppies, volunteered at my local pet shelter, and have cared for and trained my own dog for 10+ years. I have experience with dogs who are anxious, elderly, reactive, and strong. I am also more than happy to help with other pets, like cats, fish, or reptiles. I have additional background in equine and child care, which brings extra confidence to my canine interactions. I was captain of my previous university's equestrian team and was a camp counselor for four years. These days I’m not as active on Rover as I used to be, but I’ve been using this app for years and taking extra pet sitting jobs outside of it too. At this time I not taking on any regularly scheduled walks due to the unpredictability of my work/school schedule. My preference is for house sits and ad hoc local walks.

Lydia took excellent care of both our dog and house for a week. She is reliable, responsible and accommodating. Communication works well before, during and after the assignment. We´ll gladly ask Lydia again when we need a caretaker for our dog! Thanks for the help Lydia!

Lydia was absolutely fantastic! She took exceptionally great care of Demon, made sure she understood all of his care instructions correctly as he’s a senior dog that takes medication and has a set schedule that revolves around his meds. She included him in her spare time and made sure he enjoyed the outdoors not only on his set walls. She send us daily updates of how he was doing and how things were going, and was very accommodating when our flight was delayed offering to stay longer. And lastly she left our apartment spotless, we cannot recommend Lydia highly enough! If you have upcoming travel, she is the person to contact, thank you for caring for Demon so amazingly Lydia, we appreciate it immensely!

Schedule
I am a full-time student, so my schedule is both flexible and irregular. I can often accommodate requests during working hours, since I do not always have to be physically present on campus. When I am dog sitting, I will have to leave the house from time to time but not for long periods.

Safety, trust & environment
I have plenty of experience with dog training and will uphold your previous training. Please let me know if there’s any specific commands that I should plan to use with your dog. If I am spending time in your home, I will of course respect your space and privacy at all times. in addition to dog-sitting, I’ve done a lot of house-sitting, babysitting, WWOOF stays, and AirBnB visits, so I’m experienced with staying in others’ homes. I have not yet boarded dogs at my current apartment, but have done so at past apartments. I live alone and have a yard available. Be aware that the neighbors have outdoors cats. I prefer house sitting over boarding some pets are usually more comfortable in their own homes.
A typical day
I love to walk and can take your pet out for long, engaging adventures, or bring them to local parks. I often walk a new route every time so that we can explore. I stick to peaceful residential streets and parks as much as possible. If you’re comfortable with your dog off-leash, we can play fetch or run around a field. It is helpful if you let me know some of your dog's favorite spots.
