Safety, trust & environment
I tailor my care to the needs of the pet. What does their daily schedule look like? What do they enjoy? My goal is to make sure their life feels as normal as possible while their pet parents are away.
Ratings and reviews
Lydia did so well with my senior dog named Samson and my six month old kitten Olive! I could go on and on about how she went above and beyond. She made me and my pets feel safe and heard. All of my pets have a strict feeding schedule, but Samson takes the cake when it comes to complications. He has to eat twice daily at 5 am and 5 pm, have his supplements and cooked calf liver each evening. He also needs to go on a short walk twice daily. Lydia didn’t miss a beat and he was as happy as ever when we got home! With Olive Lydia got her playtime in and did her dry and wet food feedings twice daily. She didn’t seem scared of her like she has been with other pet sitters I’ve had. All in all Lydia did wonderful and I would trust her with my pets any time.
Lydia truly has a heart for animals! It is so apparent and assuring. She is deeply empathetic and intuitive with our two dogs- both needing different (and sensitive) approaches in care, Lydia was in tune right away. We were thrilled with how quickly they both latched on to Lydia, but not surprised- there is genuine love and affection shared between her and our dogs. We also greatly appreciate that she supports and reinforces our training attempts (she uses the same commands and methods that we use to redirect them, with positive reinforcement), I love knowing that our dogs have consistency. She prioritizes safety and uses great judgement when taking our dogs on walks, especially considering our bigger dog is quick as lightening, strong and can be reactive to squirrels and cats! Both of our dogs love Lydia so much, my husband and I feel absolutely confident recommending Lydia as a trustworthy person and an amazing care taker for our two dogs. The peace of mind is priceless. Huge bonus: she also helped our girls become more comfortable walking on a leash- something that my husband I struggled with in training, they are now both more relaxed, comfortable and easier to walk now. Woo!
