I work as a wildland firefighter. In the winters I like to get the critter love I don't get in the summer. I enjoy practiceing training with pets, I watch friends dogs and cats while they go on vacation. Help with farm critters and house projects. It's nice to be around animals and help others out. I've got an open schedule the next few months. Love walking or running in the mornings and evenings. Weekends and Fridays are typically open during the work week. Pets are usually more comfortable in their own home. So I'd prefer to take care of them there. I have a very open place right next to the river with some space to play. For kitties there are plenty of nap spots in the house. There's parks within a short distance and trails to run.

Lydia sat for my 2 dogs for 8 days while I was visiting family. The dogs did just fine and seemed happy when I came home. The deal was to stay in my house where they felt safe and at home. They stayed at her house instead, not what I had planned. But they were safe and taken care of and that is what matters. I received a few photos and minimal communication. It is hard to leave our loved ones at home, but everything turned out fine.
Lydia went above and beyond, and was so wonderful with our dog Oz. She'll be our top choice from here on out!
Lydia is a FANTASTIC pet/ house sitter. She stayed at my home for 10 days last winter while I went back East for Christmas. She took great care of my home and my cat Oslo. Lydia has a gentle soul and made a quick friendship with Oslo, as Im sure she would with any pet. She considerately checked in with me each day, and shared photos of Oslo, which was reassuring and comforting for me having to leave him for such a long time.

Schedule
I’m currently doing mostly short term work and home projects so there is a lot off time for breaks to go for a walk or get some pets in.

I have a nice open home with plenty of nap spots. I can crate your pet if needed. They will not be alone for extended periods of time and can join me most of the time if I have to be away for awhile.
A typical day
I love hiking and running most days. So there is plenty of opportunity to get some exercise and good sniffs. There’s also a big open field nearby for fetch.
