I work in animal care full time
I work in animal care at the Audubon Aquarium, so I have plenty of experience with animals. I have had family dogs my whole life. I love dogs and get along with them very well. If there are other animals in the house I will care for them as well. I have experience walking and house sitting for dogs including giving them pills and other forms of medication. I also have experience training puppies, as I helped train my family's golden retriever puppy. I also train a variety of different animals at my job with the aquarium. If you have a training collar for your dog, I do have experience using and training with one. I enjoy long walks so taking your dog out will be no issue. If there are treats that they enjoy or if you would like me to give them treats for good behavior, just let me know! I will play with your dog and give them all the love that they deserve.

This often varies based on what services I provide, but no matter what I will always treat them like my own. I care deeply for animals and have done a lot of studying and training in animal welfare. I am well versed with animal behavior so I will update if there’s any cause for concern or just send pictures of the happy dog. I do try to send at least one photo everyday when dog sitting so that way you can have you mind at ease knowing your dog is safe and well cared for.

Lydia did a great job with our pets while we were on vacation. She was very timely at sending updates and responding to my questions. She sent pics every day and I could tell she was a strong pack leader for my wild child, Kona. She planned ahead when bad weather was on its way, and put their Kongs with peanut butter in the freezer. Kona is afraid of storms so if she has a treat, she does better. She contacted me at 4 am letting me know she had all the pets in the hallway because there was a tornado warning. Our backyard got hit hard. She took pics of the damage and sent to me so I knew what I was coming home to. I would feel very confident leaving my pets with her again.
Lydia took great care of Cannon and our house! She communicated with us daily, sent photos, and was responsive and attentive to all directions and details we provided. I felt very comfortable knowing Cannon was in her care. I would highly recommend her!

Lydia gets a five star tail wag review from Rex! She was great from start to finish and gave us lots of updates and pics! It was our first experience using Rover and we feel very fortunate that Lydia was available and flexible. She connected with Rex quickly and he was happy to have her company! Thank you, Lydia!
Lydia watched our dogs in our home over the Fourth of July holiday. She was wonderful and we came back to a tidy home and happy, healthy dogs! Lydia provided updates and photos throughout her visit and even provided one of our pups with anxiety meds to help him cope with the fireworks. We would love to use her services again!
Lydia was great! She was very communicative and friendly and genuinely cared about our fur babies! We look forward to rebooking with her.

I currently do not own a dog, the dog shown on my profile is my parents dog, they live in Oregon. This means my full attention will be on your pup!
